A new winner and a winner from a different country have won each of those years. In 2021 it was Barbora Krejcikova from the Czech Republic. 2020’s winner, Iga Swiatek from Poland enters 2022 as the top favorite.

When it comes to all-time French Open titles, the honor goes to Chris Evert who won seven times from 1974-1986.
