There is certainly not a lack of talent participating in the men’s single draw at Wimbledon this year. The most notable player missing would be Rafael Nadal, who decided to skip the Grand Slam due to personal reasons.
Even without Nadal, the tournament is still hosting the other two members of the Big Three, and a number of top 20 players and next-gen stars. Djokovic will be looking to defend his title, and seems to have a fairly straightforward route to the finals here.
Continue below for a breakdown of each quarter, and who’s the best bet to come out of it.
Wimbledon Men’s First Quarter Odds
Player | Odds |
---|---|
Novak Djokovic | -590 |
Andrey Rublev | +800 |
Jannik Sinner | +1100 |
Marton Fucsovics | +4000 |
Diego Schwartzman | +4000 |
Fabio Fognini | +5000 |
Gael Monfils | +5000 |
Kevin Anderson | +6600 |
Cristian Garin | +6600 |
Alejandro Davidovich Fokina | +8000 |
All odds as of June 26th from DraftKings
There’s a reason Djokovic is listed at -590 to win this quarter. The number one seed has already gone two-for-two in Grand Slams this year, as he continues his attempt for the Calendar Golden Slam, and his sixth Wimbledon title.
Rublev would be the next player to watch in this quarter. The Russian is set to play Federico Delbonis in his opening match, and could continue to see Lloyd Harris and Fabio Fognini down the line. It looks like we’ll be having a Djokovic vs Rublev quarterfinal, but it’s hard to bet against Djokovic here.
Best Bet: Djokovic (-590)
Longer shot: Rublev (+800)
Wimbledon Men’s Second Quarter Odds
Player | Odds |
---|---|
Stefanos Tsitsipas | +120 |
Roberto Bautista Agut | +600 |
Denis Shapovalov | +600 |
Alex De Minaur | +700 |
Daniel Evans | +1100 |
Andy Murray | +1200 |
Reilly Opelka | +1200 |
Karen Khachanov | +2000 |
Sebastian Korda | +2500 |
Feliciano Lopez | +2500 |
This is definitely a more interesting quarter than the first, especially with Tsitsipas leading the odds. Tsitsipas is coming off a heartbreaking loss to Djokovic in the French Open final, where he went up two sets to none, and allowed Djokovic to comeback and win.
In 2021, Tsitsipas has found success, and has made it deep in many tournaments, but he’s coming into Wimbledon not having much grass matches under his belt this year.
I think the player you should focus on in this quarter is Alex De Minaur. The Australian has had a decent 2021 so far, and is heading into Wimbledon after winning the Eastbourne International today, June 26th. He’ll open his tournament up against Sebastian Korda of the United States, and might be someone who can disrupt this quarter.
Best Bet: Alex De Minaur (+700)
Wimbledon Men’s Third Quarter Odds
Player | Odds |
---|---|
Matteo Berrettini | +200 |
Alexander Zverev | +300 |
Felix Auger-Aliassime | +600 |
Ugo Humbert | +900 |
John Isner | +1200 |
Aslan Karatsev | +1400 |
Nick Kyrgios | +1400 |
Kei Nishikori | +2500 |
Taylor Fitz | +2800 |
Ilya Ivashka | +5000 |
Berrettini has been very dominant over the past couple of months heading into this tournament. He’s gone up against some of the best players in the world, and whether or not he was able to defeat them, he gave every single one of them a hard fought battle.
He won the Queen’s Club Championship just last week, and is coming into Wimbledon on a high. The Italian will open up his tournament against Guido Pella, and might run into some trouble in the later rounds against possible opponents Ugo Humbert or John Isner.
Best Bet: Berrettini (+200)
Wimbledon Men’s Fourth Quarter Odds
Player | Odds |
---|---|
Daniil Medvedev | +175 |
Roger Federer | +225 |
Marin Cilic | +800 |
Hubert Hurkacz | +1600 |
Grigor Dimitrov | +2000 |
Cameron Norrie | +2000 |
Sam Querrey | +2500 |
Pablo Carreno Busta | +2800 |
Lorenzo Sonego | +4000 |
Alexander Bublik | +4000 |
And last but not least, the fourth quarter. Of course, Roger Federer is the biggest name here, and with +225, he’s not a bad bet. It’s worth noting that he is still attempting to come back after his multiple knee surgeries he had in 2020, and of course his age is always a topic we like to bring up. He’ll open up against Adrian Mannarino, and we’ll be able to see what the next two weeks might have in store for the Swiss.
Favorite to come out of this quarter, Medvedev, is coming off a title win at the Mallorca Open, but suffered a tough loss in the first round at the Halle Open.
It’s very possible we see a Federer vs Medvedev quarterfinal here, but I do think it’ll be the Russian who comes out of this on top.
Best Bet: Medvedev (+175)
