The first throws of Andrew Luck dressed as the Indianapolis Colts quarterback will be seen this Sunday August 11th at 1:30 PM ET vs. the St. Louis Rams at Lucas Oil Stadium.
Luck is the guy everyone wants to see; the whole NFL planet is waiting to see how and if he can develop as the leader the Colts looks for. Andrew will play a few minutes in the match against the Rams, but Drew Stanton and Chandler Harnish will be the ones who carry most of the load on Sunday.
“He’s not a rookie quarterback, really,” safety Tom Zbikowski said about Andrew Luck. “He’s smart. He’s wise beyond his years.”
It would also intriguing to see who wins the battle for the running back position; so far is Donald Brown’s job to lose, but Vick Ballard has impressed in training camp, and Delone Carter thinks he is the best option.
The Rams also have quarterback issues as Sam Bradford is on his third year and should be by now, demonstrating all the money St. Louis paid him.
“I feel really good right now,” Bradford said. “My arm feels probably as strong as it’s ever felt. I think a big thing for me is maintaining that. Obviously during camp, you take a lot of reps, you make a lot of throws, so staying on top of my shoulder and my body, making sure that it stays in shape is something that I am going to be really aware of this year.”
Kellen Clemens and Tom Brandstater will be Bradford’s backups.
