The USA and Bolivia have only met twice before, both in friendlies. The US won both games in lopsided fashion without conceding a goal, taking a 4-0 win in May 2016 and a 3-0 victory in May 2018.

The Bolivians enter the 2024 Copa in abysmal form, going 2-0-8 in their last ten matches.
