Matchday 27 will see Tottenham continue their fight for a European placing on Sunday, March 7th when they lock horns with Crystal Palace, kick-off 2:15 PM EST.
Spurs have hit a solid run of form as of late, winning three straight matches, including back-to-back league victories against Burnley and Fulham. They’ve also kept a clean sheet in each game.
Palace continues to lack any firepower on the attack, but back-to-back scoreless draws against Fulham and Man United could be a sign of something better to come for Roy Hodgson’s men.
Both sides secured a point in their last meeting back in December in a 1-1 draw after Jeff Schlupp equalized late in the second half for the hosts.

Massive Clash For Spurs
It hasn’t been the greatest of seasons for Tottenham as they’re currently outside of the top six by three points. But thankfully, it’s not too late for Spurs to still make a run at a spot in Europe.
Although the Lilywhites’ last two opponents haven’t been the toughest, they were both impressive performances, specifically the Burnley clash. In a rare start for Gareth Bale, the Welshman took full advantage of the opportunity, netting a double and also tallying a brilliant assist. Although it was just one appearance, Bale’s resurgence would definitely play a key part in Spurs’ success as they hunt for a top-four finish.

Jose Mourinho’s backline continues to be rock solid lately, having last conceding on Matchday 24 in a slim 2-1 defeat to a surging West Ham side.
Prior to Tottenham’s three-game winning run, they were in dreadful form though. Through six matches, the North Londoners won just twice while experiencing losses to Liverpool, Manchester City, Everton, and Chelsea. What’s evident lately is their lack of ability to step up against big-six opponents, which could very well hurt them by the end of the term.
However, this game against Palace could have major implications for Europe. West Ham takes on a gritty Leeds squad on Monday, while Chelsea faces Everton. Both sides could certainly drop points, so a victory for Spurs here could potentially move them closer to their European hopes, also depending on what out-of-form Liverpool does against Fulham. Tottenham has a game in hand over the Blues, which could be crucial as well.
"They're dangerous in counter-attack, dangerous in set-pieces. Difficult, but let's try."

It will be important that Harry Kane and Heung-min Son begin to find their best again as well in the final third after forming one of the most electrifying partnerships in the Premier League. Son hasn’t scored in three matches, while Kane has only netted once in his last four appearances.
Palace Get Zaha Back
It’s pretty safe to say that without Wilfried Zaha leading the line, Crystal Palace has struggled immensely to muster up opportunities going forward.
But after a five-game absence, the Ivory Coast international is expected to be available for selection on Sunday, which is a massive boost for the Eagles.

Palace collected just one victory when Zaha was sidelined while scoring just two goals. After holding the Red Devils to a point on Wednesday, Hodgson’s side will be hoping that with their main man back on the pitch, a positive result could be in the cards.
History is not on their side though. The Eagles haven’t collected three points on the road at Spurs in their last eight appearances dating back to 1997. They’ve also failed to net in their previous seven away from Selhurst Park against Tottenham.

But, a 2-1 victory at Brighton in their last road clash is a positive sign. The last time they won two straight games away was in June of 2020 and coincidentally enough, their first win was also against the Seagulls.

Everything points to Tottenham securing an extremely important victory on Sunday. I think having Zaha back for Crystal Palace will help them actually get on the scoresheet, but Spurs will continue their dominance of the Eagles on home soil with their vibrant attack looking to capitalize. Pick: Tottenham -215, Both Teams to Score +104
