Tottenham (-133) vs. Manchester United (+420), Draw (+300)
Spurs (23-8-4, 77 points) host Manchester United (17-14-4, 65 points) on Sunday (May 14th) for one of the last significant games of the Premier League season.
On Friday, Chelsea sealed top spot in the league with a 1-0 win against West Brom, winning the Premier League title. Doesn’t come as much as a surprise though, as the Blues have been the most consistent side in the league.
Meantime, Manchester United are through to the finals of the Europa League, and that’s where their priorities lie at the moment. At sixth place and four points from fourth, a top-four finish is looking pretty unlikely for the Red Devils.
A Champions League spot for next season is crucial for the club. United are vying for some world-class talent over the summer transfer window, and a spot in the Champions League will be a prerequisite for many top players.
Mourinho is coming off his first ever loss to Arsene Wenger last week when Arsenal took Man U for a 2-0 win. Considering the injuries Man United have endured, they actually put up a pretty good fight. The United backline is in tatters after a string of high-profile injuries, and star striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic is out for at least the rest of the season.
Academy prodigy Marcus Rashford was left to head the United attack, and he has routinely exceeded expectations. Rashford had some knee problems earlier last week, but he started against Celta Vigo in yesterday’s clash and looked to be back to normal.
Tottenham have won nine of their last ten games and have not lost a Premier League home game this season. Even if they fall short of the title, they’ve still had an amazing season. Especially at White Hart Lane, it’s hard to pick a battered Man U squad over Tottenham.
Pick: Tottenham (-133)
