David Moyes’ West Ham side was the favorite to take the spoils in the opening game.
However, the home fans were stunned when Frankfurt took the lead in the very first minute when Ansgar Knauff put the visitors ahead.

Michail Antonio leveled before half-time.
But Frankfurt’s quick counter-attacking style was rewarded when Daichi Kamada restored its lead after 54 minutes – handing his team a precious aggregate lead.
Over/Under and Spread
In their analysis, the oddsmakers believe there will be a reasonable amount of goals with the Europa League odds for Over 2.5 at -114. It is only at over 3.5 that the odds move onto positive territory at +230.
However, there is an attractive price for Frankfurt to win by two goals or more at +460 on the Asian Handicap at -1.5.
Eintracht Frankfurt vs West Ham Prediction
Despite its lead, the home side is rated only as a narrow favorite for a second leg win in Eintracht Frankfurt at +155 with Barstool Sportsbook.
Meanwhile, West Ham is rated at +175 with the draw over 90 minutes at +235.

Jarrod Bowen scored West Ham’s goal in the opening leg.
After returning from injury, he also scored in the following game last weekend – a 2-1 home defeat by Arsenal.
Jarrod Bowen Goalscorer Odds
Therefore, at +275 to score in this return tie, Bowen offers an attractive prop.
In total, he has hit 16 goals this season – including three in the Europa League.
West Ham will be eager to quickly make up the deficit and capitalize on Frankfurt’s poor home form.

That potentially makes the prolific Bowen an even better suggestion at +750 to be the first goalscorer on the night for Eintracht Frankfurt vs West Ham.
Meanwhile, Frankfurt’s Kamada – scorer of the winner at the London Stadium – is also an attractive prop at +330 to get on the scoresheet.
The German side’s win in London was typical of its form in this competition.

It is unbeaten in its 11 games so far and has won no fewer than five of its away ties – a testament to that incisive counter-attacking style.
These have included a stunning 3-2 win at Barcelona in the last eight, second leg following a 1-1 draw at home.
However, it has drawn four of its home ties while winning only once.
It is also in poor form in the Bundesliga. And after Monday’s 2-0 defeat at Bayer Leverkusen, it dropped into 10th place.
It has failed to win in its last six Bundesliga games with three defeats and three draws.
The team also has a very poor home league record – the 16th worst in the 18-team Bundesliga with only four wins, six draws, and six defeats.
Frankfurt has failed to win in its last six home matches in all competitions. Indeed, it has won only twice in its last 11 games overall.

West Ham will look for inspiration from its stunning 3-0 away win at Lyon in the last eight, second leg following a 1-1 draw in London.
However, it has also been in poor form in the Premier League.
It is in seventh place. But a triumph in the Europa League – if it progresses from Eintracht Frankfurt vs West Ham – is the only potential route into the Champions League now.

Moyes’ men have failed to win in their last four EPL outings with three defeats and one draw.
Ironically, having been underdogs in the first leg, Frankfurt will be under more pressure the second time around as it now holds the lead.
This may be a critical factor.
Furthermore, history is on West Ham’s side.
In its historic previous meeting with Frankfurt, it reached the 1975-76 European Cup Winners Cup final.
However, the first leg took place in Germany, with Frankfurt as 2-1 winners.
Eintracht Frankfurt vs West Ham Projected Line-Ups & Injuries
Eintracht Frankfurt projected line-up: Trapp; Tuta, Hinteregger, Toure; Knauff, Sow, Rode, Kostic; Lindstrom, Kamada; Borre
Injuries: Ramaj, Lenz
West Ham United projected line-up: Areola; Coufal, Dawson, Zouma, Cresswell; Soucek, Rice; Bowen, Lanzini, Fornals; Antonio
Injuries: Johnson, Ogbonna
Eintracht Frankfurt vs West Ham Pick
West Ham advanced thanks to a 3-1 victory at their former home of Upton Park.
It is unlikely that the Londoners will pull it off again. But they will make a real go of it.
This makes it likely, at least, that Bowen will find the net during Eintracht Frankfurt vs West Ham, whatever the outcome.
Pick: Jarrod Bowen to score (+275)
