Eintracht Frankfurt vs Borussia Dortmund Prediction
Eintracht, winners of last season’s Europa League, have kicked on nicely this season, and some recent good form has seen them go up to fourth in the Bundesliga and has given them a chance of qualification for the knockout phase of this season’s Champions League.
In midweek, a 2-1 home win over Marseille in the UCL – goals from Daichi Kamada and Kolo Randal Muani – saw them pull level in second place in Group D with Sporting Lisbon, which has set up a winner-tales-all showdown in Portugal next week.

Four Wins on the Spin for The Eagles
In German domestic soccer, in addition to making it to the last 16 of the DFB-Pokal, a run of wins has taken them into the Bundesliga’s Champions League places. Last weekend, they maintained that run with a highly-impressive 3-1 away win against Borussia Monchengladbach.

BVB’s Season About to Ignite
There’s a sense that BVB’s season has been a slow burner but there are signs of it springing to life, especially after their outstanding 5-0 home win last weekend over Stuttgart – goals from Niklas Sule, Giovanni Reyna, Youssoufa Moukoko, and Jude Bellingham (2)
In addition to being unstoppable in front of goal, they also conceded very few chances at the other end – the result of the tightening up of a defense that showed signs of wobbling in the early weeks of the season. It’s a different story now and they come into this game off the back of three consecutive clean sheets – one of them against Man City!

Bundesliga Title Still in BVB’s Sights
Their clean sheet against City in midweek – the game ended goalless – was enough to secure Edin Terzic’s men their place in the knockout phase of the Champions League, although they did enjoy a slice of luck when Riyad Mahrez had his penalty saved by Gregor Kobe.
Crucially, with their place in the UCL last 16 secured, all their focus between now and mid-February can remain on the Bundesliga. With just four points separating them from leaders Union Berlin and three between them and second-placed Bayern, another title is still very much possible.
