Matchday 2 of the 2026-27 UEFA Champions League continues with another nine games on Wednesday, Oct 14. The slate includes a couple of heavyweight tilts, headlined by Manchester City vs Paris Saint-Germain.
Early action tips off with a pair of games at 12:45 PM ET before transitioning into a seven-game slate in the 3:00 PM ET block. Line movement has been volatile due to a brutal wave of injuries and absences: Liverpool takes the pitch without Alexander Isak and Dominik Szoboszlai; Real Madrid is missing Rodrygo; and Barcelona will be without Raphinha.

Bodø/Glimt vs Borussia Dortmund Pick: Dortmund ML (47¢)
Borussia Dortmund is heavily undervalued at this 47-cent price point against a struggling Bodø/Glimt side. In their opening match, Bodø/Glimt was thoroughly dismantled. They conceded five second-half goals to Bayern Munich while failing to generate a single shot on target across 90 minutes.
They finished that contest with just three total shot attempts.
Dortmund carries immense offensive momentum after scoring three times in their opener. They produced 17 total shots, effectively getting easy points in the paint against opposing center-backs. I am happily backing Dortmund here.
Slovan Bratislava vs Stuttgart Pick: Over 3.5 Goals (46¢)
I am actively avoiding the heavily juiced Stuttgart moneyline (75¢) and targeting the Over 3.5 goals market instead. Slovan Bratislava was decimated in Round 1, surrendering six goals while managing just six total shots against PSG.
Stuttgart arrives with a +2 goal difference after burying three first-half goals in their opener. When these clubs met in January 2025, Stuttgart secured a 3-1 victory. They pushed the pace on the fast break, dominating ball possession 59% to 41% while logging 19 shots.
Expect another high-scoring track meet today.
Betis vs Porto Pick: Betis ML (48¢)
Real Betis offers excellent value at home against an FC Porto squad that looked entirely lifeless in the attacking third last time out. During their opening match (at home vs Man City, Porto failed to score, conceding two second-half goals and failing to put any of their four shot attempts on goal.
Betis was highly active offensively in an impressive 3-2 win away at Lille. They deployed a relentless full-court press, rattling off 18 total shots and maintaining 54% possession. Their ability to consistently generate high-percentage scoring opportunities makes them an incredibly attractive home favorite at plus-money.
Aston Villa vs Fenerbahce Pick: Over 2.5 Goals (53¢)
Aston Villa comes into this Round 2 clash at Villa Park firing from all over and converting at a high clip. In their first match, the English club generated a massive 20 total shots and netted three goals in the first half during a 3-2 win at Club Brugge in Belgium.
Fenerbahce managed a quality draw at home against Lyon in their opening fixture, but their metrics pale in comparison to Villa’s intensity. Aston Villa excels on set pieces and collecting second balls in the penalty area. Armed with a relentless shot-creation engine, taking the Over 2.5 total at 53 cents is my favorite volume play.
