Borussia Dortmund vs Bayern Munich Prediction
BVB’s disappointing 3-2 defeat away to FC Koln last weekend was hardly ideal preparation for their midweek trip to Sevilla in the Champions League but they turned things around to produce their best performance of the season so far to win 4-1.
Goals from Jude Bellingham – their captain for the evening – Raphael Guerreiro, Karim Adeyemi, and Julian Brandt were more than enough to record an outstanding result and set themselves up perfectly for the first Der Klassiker of the season.
🎙 Edin Terzic:
"[Jude Bellingham]'s been playing very consistently, getting more control and balance in his game. We are very happy with the way he presents himself here every day. But this is not the end, there is much more to come." pic.twitter.com/PW2hdsFUeM

BVB in a Good Place
While BVB’s league form has been a bit patchy by their own high standards, Terzic’s men are still in a good place and will believe anything is possible after the win in Spain – including a victory over their oldest rivals.
Their recent form against the reigning champions isn’t good, however, with eight consecutive defeats but this doesn’t look to be a classic Bayern team. A noisy and boisterous Westfalenstadion will make life difficult for the visitors and an extra incentive is knowing a win will take them above the Bavarians in the Bundesliga table.
🎙 Edin Terzic:
"It's our responsibility to show from the start that we want to leave the pitch as winners. We want to take the spectators with us. We know what they expect from us and we want to live up to that." pic.twitter.com/zVyL41c925

Shaky Start but Bayern Now Back on Track
Two wins in their last two have steadied the ship in Munich, after what has been an unusually shaky start to the season. A fine 4-0 win over Bayer Leverkusen last Friday was followed up with an even more emphatic 5-0 win over Czech side Viktoria Plzen on Tuesday night in the Champions League.
The win at home over Plzen maintained their 100% record in Group C of the UCL and opened up a six-point gap between them and third-placed Barcelona with three left to play. Their Bundesliga form has not been as impressive but worth noting is that they have still only lost once.
🗣️ @J__Nagelsmann on #BVBFCB: "We want to win more than anything. Dortmund like to defend deep and remain compact while waiting for opportunities to counter. They always have a clear shape when they counter. The important thing is that we win, and we will give it everything." pic.twitter.com/ODcktJEn18

Toughest Challenge of the Season
Bayern’s trip to the Westfalenstadion will, on paper, be their toughest challenge of the season so far but Julian Nagelsmann’s men appear to have finally found their feet after a really good week. A run of four games without a win before the international break had put Nagelsmann under pressure but his position now looks secure.
Their trip to Dortmund has been made that little bit more tricky with Thomas Muller and Joshua Kimmich both returning positive COVID-19 tests this week, so their midfield resources will be pushed to the limit, but if anyone can cope with the loss of two key midfielders it’s Bayern.

Borussia Dortmund vs Bayern Munich Team Lineups and Injuries
BVB Projected Lineup: Kobel, Meunier, Hummels, Schlotterbeck, Guerreiro, Bellingham, Can, Ozcan, Adeyemi, Brandt, Malen.
Injuries & absences: Morey, Bynoe-Gittens, Dahoud, Reus, Haller.

Injuries & absences: Muller, Kimmich.
Borussia Dortmund vs Bayern Munich Pick
Bayern’s short odds make the away win an unattractive bet, and the loss of two key midfielders have certainly edged things in Dortmund’s direction.
A lively home crowd will make this a stern test for Bayern and it could be one where both teams would be content with not losing. On that basis, the draw at +370 looks well worth a shout.
Pick: BVB and Bayern Munich to draw (+370)
