The Lions have won the competition 23 times and also finished as a runner-up on 16 occasions. Athletic hasn’t lifted the ultimate prize since 1984 but was in the finals in 2020 and 2021.

In the first leg, however, Ernesto Valverde’s men struggled to produce the goods and will have work to do on Tuesday. As for the first leg of this tie, Barcelona loanee Abde Ezzalzouli gave Osasuna the advantage in the second half with a brilliant solo run and finish.
