Hamilton Aims to Extend Lead on F1 Drivers Standings
Hamilton is coming off a third-place finish at the Italian Grand Prix two weeks ago to maintain his lead atop the F1 Driver Standings, 63 points up on Mercedes teammate Valtteri Bottas going into Sunday morning’s running of the Singapore Grand Prix on the city-state’s Marina Bay Street Circuit.

While Hamilton has failed to take home the checkered flag in his past two outings, it has been anything but a bad season for the six-time Formula One champion. Hamilton has claimed victory in eight of 14 races so far this season, and has reached the podium on 12 occasions. That extends a spectacular run of success that has seen Hamilton finish on the podium in 23 of 26 races since last year’s Austrian Grand Prix.
Not surprisingly, Hamilton looks toward Singapore as a heavy -500 bet to finish in the top three. However, he is expected to have his hands full fending off a serious challenge from Max Verstappen, who sits a close second on the Singapore Grand Prix odds at +150.

Sporting New Engine, Verstappen Looks to Rebound in Singapore
Verstappen had emerged as one of the most consistent drivers on the Formula One circuit during the first half of this season. The 21-year-old Dutchman finished in the top five in each of the first 12 races this season, carrying over a steady trend from last year, which he closed out with five straight trips to the podium.
Verstappen settled for an eighth-place finish in Italy after being penalized for Red Bull’s decision to make an engine upgrade, which forced him to the start from the back of the pack.
Adversity has struck Verstappen in his past two outings. The Red Bull Racing driver saw his steady streak end in Belgium, where he failed to finish. The upgrade is also expected to give Verstappen an edge in Singapore, where he came up just short in a duel with Hamilton last year, before settling for a second-place finish. Red Bull’s new engine is also expected to dramatically diminish Mercedes’ dominance in qualifying.
Hamilton and Bottas combined to claim the pole position in eight of the first 11 races of the season, but have been forced to watch as Verstappen took the pole at Hungary, while Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc seized the pole ahead of impressive wins at both Belgium and Monza.
However, it is Hamilton who again leads the way on the odds to grab the pole position in Sunday’s race, sporting short +120 odds and outpacing Verstappen, who lags as a +150 second favorite.

Lewis Hamilton | +225 |

Alexander Albon | +350 |

Sebastian Vettel | +500 |
Following Back-to-Back Wins, Leclerc a Dark Horse in Singapore
And despite earning his first two career F1 wins in his past two outings, Leclerc is expected to struggle to keep pace with the favorites. The 21-year-old rising star from Monte Carlo sits well down the odds to win the Singapore Grand Prix, joining Verstappen’s Red Bull teammate Alexander Albon at a lengthy +800.

However, Leclerc sports an attractive +225 bet to grab a spot on the podium for the eighth time this season, and joins Albon, Bottas, and Ferrari teammate Sebastian Vettel as a +500 bet to record the fastest lap in Singapore. Leclerc has clocked the fastest lap on two occasions already this season, including in Bahrain, the only other night race on the F1 circuit this season.
Picks: Verstappen to win Singapore Grand Prix (+175), Hamilton to claim pole position (+120), Leclerc to finish top three (+225)
