Cuban Shakes Up Election
Speaking during an interview with Axios, the question of whether he’d consider a run for the Presidency this year was posed to Cuban.
“If this would’ve been a month ago, I would have said absolutely not,” Cuban told Axios. “But obviously things are crazy, things are changing. So I’ll keep an open mind. But I seriously doubt it.”
Mark Cuban on the Axios livestream if he'll run for president: "I doubt it, but you know, like I said, everything's a reset right now. You never say never…I'll keep an open mind, but I seriously doubt it."

Since the outbreak of the Coronavirus, Cuban has been quite outspoken about the chance the country has to reinvent itself post virus. He refers to it as “America 2.0.”
“This is a complete reset,” Cuban said. “All those things you were wondering about: ‘I wonder if we tried this? I wonder if we tried that?’ Now we can try them.”
He’s Considered It Before
Cuban pondered a run for the Presidency in 2016 but ultimately decided against it. Perennial third-party Presidential candidate Ralph Nader offered suggestions that he is of the belief that Cuban would be make an ideal candidate for President.

Less than a year ago, Cuban was flirting with the idea of running in the 2020 Presidential election as an independent candidate. At the time he insisted it was his family that talked him out of the notion.
Billionaire Boys Club Hasn’t Panned Out
If Cuban is throwing his hat in the ring, he’ll be the third billionaire businessman to take a run at the Presidency during this election cycle.
Tom Steyer and former New York mayor Michael Bloomberg both made ill-fated bids for the Democratic nomination.
In America 2.0 every worker will contribute to the turnaround and their employer's success. I'm a big believer that everyone should get equity in a company. Equity appreciation is the only way to get beyond living check to check and building your net worth https://t.co/u3Q6qr1qVp

Bloomberg entered the chase late. He enjoyed a promising start which saw him skyrocket up among the contenders in both the polls and the odds boards. However, a horrific performance in his first debate quickly flattened the curve of Bloomberg’s rise. He dropped out of the race after Super Tuesday.
Steyer’s campaign never really gained any traction. He was out of the running following the South Carolina primary.
Been There, Done That
If there’s one thing Cuban knows how to do, it’s build his brand. He talks big. It’s all about keeping his face in the public eye.
Stumping for the Presidency is just another way to ensure Cuban gets attention. He’s not really going to enter the race. He won’t run in the election.
A leader doesn’t doesn’t look to criticize, a leader accepts criticism and learns. A leader doesn’t look for praise, a leader offers praise. A leader doesn’t ask for trust, a leader earns your trust. We all have those who need us to love them and lead them. Be a leader

America has already tried the trick of putting a businessman with no political experience in the White House. How’s that working out for you, folks?
Unless something dramatic or traumatic occurs, the 2020 Presidental election will be a showdown betwen Donald Trump and Joe Biden.
Cuban isn’t worth a wager at any price.
