Pittsburgh Is In Deep, Deep Trouble

Pittsburgh plays like a constant yo-yo. Unfortunately, the Penguins, via several injuries, are once again trending in the wrong direction. Pittsburgh dropped four straight games and now sit in danger of missing the playoffs altogether.

The last time that the Stanley Cup Playoffs didn't have Sidney Crosby or Alexander Ovechkin involved was in 2006. The Pittsburgh Penguins and Washington Capitals sit outside a Playoff Spot as of Tuesday.

With the prospect of playing Colorado and Dallas on consecutive nights, the Penguins appear to be in deep, deep trouble. Pittsburgh remains a favorite to make the playoffs, but the “no” on playing is rapidly gaining steam.
