- The Montreal Canadiens are back from the dead.
- The Habs are 31-19-7 after going 6-2-2 in their last 10 games.
- Is Montreal a legitimate threat to win the Stanley Cup?
Things were looking bleak not too long ago for the Montreal Canadiens, but once again, they’ve managed to tread enough water to get themselves back into the picture. They are 31-19-7. That’s good enough for the top wild card spot in the East.
On January 28th, the Habs’ average odds of winning the 2019 Stanley Cup were +4600 across a number of top online sportsbooks, but after going 6-2-2 in their last 10, they’ve clawed their way back up the board.

Winnipeg Jets | +750 |

The Red and Blue Resurgence
Montreal has been deadly lately because each line has finally started to click. The evidence of that has been right down the middle as their three leading scorers are their top three centermen – Max Domi, Johnathan Drouin, and Phillip Danault.
Now, if you believed in the Habs all along, the last few weeks have been a very welcome surprise for you. Their futures have actually been on average around the +2300 mark on several sportsbooks.
Are the Habs Worth a Bet?
Ahh the age old question. The Habs have now swung themselves into the buyers category with their winning ways in 2019. With that said, does that make them more appealing to bettors everywhere? Absolutely!

Now, while they were able to reacquire former Hab Dale Weise along with David Schlemko from the Flyers, and Nate Thompson from the Kings, it would be unwise to believe they are done. The team, thus far, has added some nice depth pieces. This is obviously key for a playoff run.
The big question now, though, is will they make a splash for more? If they do decide to, you should definitely try and cash in now before their odds skyrocket.
Are there Better Bets than the Habs?
The short answer is yes. Let’s start with the Washington Capitals (+2000), who once again, are getting no love this year. This team, when healthy, is still one of the best. The only problem for them has been that “healthy” part.
The St. Louis Blues have gone 9-1-0 through their last 10, and are looking truly fierce right now.
Another squad to keep your eye on are the St. Louis Blues (+2800). Much like the Habs, they’ve endured some rough patches this season, but they have also gone 9-1-0 through their last 10, and are looking truly fierce right now. That’s not all though…
We wrote you guys another poem –
