Blues’ Stanley Cup Odds Listed at +200 After Beating Stars in Game 7 to Advance to WCF

The St. Louis Blues beat the Dallas Stars 2-1 in double overtime in Game 7 to advance to the Western Conference Finals. They are set to play the winner between the San Jose Sharks and Colorado Avalanche.
The Blues’ epic win has given them the second-best Stanley Cup odds at online sportsbooks.

Who’s the Best Bet?
Although the Blues have gotten past two very good teams in the Winnipeg Jets and Dallas Stars, I am still not sold on Jordan Binnigton as their goalie. He has had some good games, no doubt, but he has let in some questionable goals and been unreliable at times.
With that, I don’t think it is worth betting on the Blues to win the cup as I don’t even see them making the Finals unless Colorado gets past the Sharks. I believe the Sharks and the Bruins will be playing for the Stanley Cup, meaning I think there is a ton of value at +300 on San Jose.
The Sharks have looked really good these playoffs, and with Joe Pavelski set to return to the lineup any game now, they will only get better. Martin Jones has done surprisingly well, while veterans like Joe Thornton and Logan Couture have really stepped up. Add in their success on special teams and it leads me to believe they can finally end their so-called curse and hoist the Stanley Cup this June.

However, if the Avalanche beat the Sharks in Game 7 I think the Bruins will win the Cup, as I don’t see a way the Carolina Hurricanes can get past the Bruins. Tuukka Rask has been hot, Brad Marchand, David Pastrnak, and David Krejci have been hot, and their power play has been deadly.
Ultimately, if the Sharks can get past the Avalanche, which I think will happen, I believe the best bet is on them, but if the Avs win, the Bruins are your best bet to win the Stanley Cup.
