Week 3 doesn’t kick off until Thursday, September 25, but prediction markets have already set their prices for all 16 games – and several of them are dead wrong.

I have cross-referenced every Polymarket and Kalshi moneyline contract against performance data through two weeks: point differentials, scoring output, home/road splits, and strength of schedule. The result is a card built around genuine +EV opportunities, including multiple underdogs that the market is drastically undervaluing.

Best Bets Straight-Up Picks for NFL Week 3

Below, I will run down the top SU plays of the week in order of confidence level.

Raiders (38.5¢) over Saints — Best Bet of the Week

Raiders to Win
39%

Las Vegas enters Week 3 backed by complete complementary football, posting a league-best +26 point differential while showcasing a disruptive front seven that has generated 8 sacks. New Orleans has shown critical vulnerability along the offensive line, already conceding 8 sacks through two games and surrendering 136.5 rushing yards per contest defensively.

The Raiders’ offensive balance directly targets the Saints’ inability to set the edge, and New Orleans faces a tight turnaround after a physical road matchup in Baltimore. Pricing the undefeated Raiders at just 38.5¢ overweights home venue bias while overlooking decisive trench advantages. With the true line closer to a coin flip, the Raiders represent a premium positive expected value buy.

Broncos (43¢) over Rams

Broncos to Win
43%

Denver at 43¢ as a home underdog offers exceptional closing equity. Mile High remains one of the NFL’s premier home environments, backed by a Broncos defense that finished as a top-two scoring unit in 2025 by allowing only 18.3 points per game and leading the league with 68 sacks. That defensive baseline carries over into 2026, where Denver is holding opponents to just 172.5 passing yards per game.

The Rams face a grueling turnaround, traveling on short rest following a Monday Night Football appearance, a split where visiting West Coast offenses historically struggle with conditioning and execution in the second half. Los Angeles is heavily taxed in pass protection against Denver’s disciplined blitz packages. At a 43¢ entry point, the market is overpaying for the Rams’ road favorite status.

Cowboys (40.5¢) over Ravens

Cowboys to Win

Dallas is vastly undervalued at 40.5¢ in their home building. AT\&T Stadium continues to provide an elite scoring venue for Dallas, where they put up 37 points in their opener and have maintained an explosive 27.7 points per game home average across the past two seasons. Baltimore’s pass defense remains vulnerable against spread sets, following a 2025 campaign where they ranked near the bottom of the league by allowing 247.9 passing yards per game.

Dallas’ quick-tempo passing scheme neutralizes heavy blitz looks and forces Baltimore out of its preferred ground-and-pound game script. In an evenly matched contest where Dallas holds the decisive fast-turf passing advantage, the Cowboys should be priced near 48 to 50¢, leaving significant value on the board.

Patriots (41.5¢) over Jaguars

Patriots to Win
42%

New England’s defensive structure offers one of the highest floors in football, surrendering a league-low 16 total points through two weeks after finishing 2025 ranked second in the AFC at 18.8 points allowed per game. The Patriots’ coverage unit excels at limiting chunk gains, holding opponents to 166.0 passing yards per contest and controlling time of possession with an offensive rushing attack that produces 122.5 yards per game.

Jacksonville’s offense relies heavily on high-variance explosive plays, which frequently stall against New England’s disciplined two-high shell and stout front four. In what profiles as a low-possession, one-score game, Jacksonville’s 58.5¢ price tag reflects an unrealistic separation between the two teams, making New England at 41.5¢ an outstanding value play.

Colts (44¢) over Texans

Colts to Win

Indianapolis at 44¢ presents clear positive expected value in an AFC South divisional rivalry that consistently comes down to final-possession execution. While both squads enter Week 3 searching for their first win, the underlying offensive outputs reveal an Indianapolis unit with a significantly higher scoring floor, posting 53 points through two weeks (26.5 per game) after finishing 2025 as the sixth-highest scoring offense in the AFC at 27.4 points per game.

Houston’s offense, by comparison, has managed only 37 total points in 2026 and continues to suffer from severe pass-protection lapses, surrendering 7 sacks already this season and 31 sacks across 2025. Playing indoors at Lucas Oil Stadium provides Indianapolis’ front five with ideal pass-blocking conditions, where they have conceded just 2 sacks on the year while establishing a reliable 110.5 rushing yards per game on the ground. When adjusting for Houston’s persistent red-zone inefficiency and the natural parity of division matchups, pricing the Texans as 56% road favorites overweights market inertia. This matchup projects as a true 50-50 coin flip, leaving nearly 6 cents of embedded closing value on the Colts.

Favorite Contracts Worth Buying

Not every favorite is a bad buy. Three stand out as correctly priced or still offering slight edges:

  • 49ers (78.5¢ on Polymarket) over Cardinals — San Francisco is 2-0 with a monstrous +42 point differential, the best in the NFL. They have outscored opponents 62-20. Arizona is 1-1 with a -12 differential. This is one of the few favorites where the price is fully justified by the data.
  • Bengals (63.5¢ on Polymarket) over Steelers — Cincinnati is 2-0 with a +20 point differential. Pittsburgh is 1-1 with a -10 differential and has scored only 23 points in two games (11.5 PPG). The Bengals are road favorites in a division rivalry, but the offensive disparity is stark enough to justify this price.
  • Panthers (58.5¢ on Polymarket) over Browns — Carolina at 1-1 with a +9 differential travels to a 1-1 Cleveland team sitting at -20. The Panthers have scored 71 points through two games while the Browns have managed just 33. This is properly priced as a moderate favorite.

Games to Avoid

  • Chiefs (85.5¢) over Dolphins: Kansas City is the better team, but 85.5¢ leaves almost no room for profit. You are risking 85.5¢ to win 14.5¢. Miami is 0-2 and bad, but one-score NFL upsets happen at roughly a 25-30% clip. This is dead money.
  • Lions (73.5¢) over Jets: Detroit is 1-1 with a -9 point differential. They have been outscored 71-62 this season. Pricing them at 73.5% to beat a 1-1 Jets team with a +10 differential is the market overreacting to name brand. I would not touch either side here.

Injuries Impacting Week 3 Betting

Two significant quarterback injuries are shaping the Week 3 slate:

  • Caleb Williams (QB, Bears): Williams will miss Chicago’s home game against the Eagles (and more). The Bears’ 62 points scored through two weeks were generated with Williams under center, and his absence severely undermines the offensive case for Chicago at 33¢. This pick has been downgraded from a strong best bet to a speculative play.
  • Jayden Daniels (QB, Commanders): Like Williams, Daniels will be out for several weeks, including Washington’s home game against Seattle this Sunday. The Commanders are already 0-2 and have been outscored 61-42 this season. Losing their starting quarterback against the defending-champion Seahawks (2-0) with a +27 point differential makes this an even steeper climb. Seattle at 73.5¢ was already correctly priced as a favorite — with Daniels sidelined, the Seahawks’ edge only grows.
