Week 15 NFL Picks Against the Spread – Early Lines to Target

By Robert Duff in NFL Football
Published:

- In the Week 15 NFL picks against the spread, the Buffalo Bills are 6.5-point home favorites over the Miami Dolphins
- The Detroit Lions are back in their usual role as 1.5-point road underdogs at the New York Jets
- After recording their first road win of the season, the Carolina Panthers are set as 1.5-point home underdogs facing the visiting Pittsburgh Steelers
Assessing the early lines to target in the Week 15 NFL picks against the spread, the one game that’s jumping off the page has the fading Miami Dolphins visiting the Buffalo Bills. If there’s something that’s being learned about the Fins, it’s that they don’t travel well.
Miami is 1-5 against the spread in the last six road games. The Dolphins are going to Buffalo in December as 6.5-point underdogs and snow is in the forecast. In their last five December/January visits to frigid Western New York, the Fins are 1-4 straight up.
Coming off a huge win over the Minnesota Vikings as a home favorite, it’s back to normal for the 6-7 Detroit Lions. They are going to MetLife Field to face the New York Jets as 1.5-point road underdogs.
The Carolina Panthers finally won a road game this season last Sunday at Seattle. But that didn’t instill faith in the Panthers among the oddsmakers. Carolina is a 1.5-point home underdog this week while playing host to the pitiful Pittsburgh Steelers.
Are any of these teams worth a wager in the NFL odds as Week 15 ATS picks? Let’s check out the possibilities.

NFL ATS Pick 1: Bills Coming Due For Dolphins
Whipped two weeks in a row on the road, the Dolphins are 1-3 ATS over their past four away games.
"I definitely think [the cold weather] is an advantage that we have… Miami's got a weather advantage too, the opposing sideline is in the sun."@JoshAllenQB discusses each team's home field advantage ahead of the Dolphins-Bills game in Buffalo.

Buffalo has won five in a row and nine of 10 straight up over Miami. The Bills are 7-2-1 ATS over that span.
Pick: Buffalo Bills -6.5 (-110), 1 unit
NFL ATS Pick 2: Lions Will Keep On Roaring
Two weeks ago, the Jets lost to Minnesota. Last week the Lions whipped the Vikings. So naturally, as Detroit is facing the Jets this week, it’s the Jets who are favored.
What do these One Pride fellas gotta do to get a little respect? True, the Jets have won four of five from Detroit. But these Lions are 5-1 SU in the past six and 5-0 ATS in the last five.
Pick: Detroit Lions +1.5 (-110), 1 unit
NFL ATS Pick 3: Panthers An NFC South Contender?
With Sunday’s win and cover at Seattle, the Panthers are 6-1 ATS in the past six games. They’re the +375 second betting choice to win the NFC South in the NFL Divisional odds. Pittsburgh, though is 5-0 ATS in the last five against Carolina.

Last week, the Ravens slashed the Steelers for 215 yards on the ground. The Panthers rolled through the Seahawks for 223 rushing yards.
Pick: Carolina Panthers +1.5 (-110), 1 unit
- ATS season record 26-15-1
Week 15 NFL Picks Against the Spread Quick Picks
- 49ers (-3) vs Seahawks: San Francisco has won five in a row and is 5-1 ATS over the past six. But Seattle is 12-2 ATS in the past 14 home games against the 49ers
- Vikings (-4.5) vs Colts: Vikings are 7-1 SU in the last eight home games. Indianapolis is 5-1 ATS in the last six at Minnesota
- Ravens (+3) vs Browns: No matter who’s at QB for Baltimore, the Ravens should be able to do enough to overcome the train wreck Browns
- Saints (-3.5) vs Falcons: Saints are 5-1 in last six vs Atlanta and will ruin first NFL start of Falcons QB Desmond Ridder
- Texans (+14) vs Chiefs: Houston is 3-1 ATS as a double-digit underdog this season. KC is 4-8 ATS in the last 12 games
- Eagles (-8.5) vs Bears: Philadelphia is 5-0 ATS in the last five games against the Bears
- Broncos (+1) vs Cardinals: Denver has covered two weeks in a row
- Patriots (+1.5) vs Rams: You can’t bet any team that blows a 2-TD lead to Baker Mayfield in the final four minutes of a game. It’s a rule
- Chargers (-2.5) vs Titans: LA’s AFC team is getting healthy as the playoffs grow nearer. And the Chargers are 6-1 ATS in the last seven at home facing Tennessee
- Bengals (-3) vs Buccaneers: Cincinnati is 10-2 ATS over the past 12 road games
- Giants (+3.5) vs Commanders: Giants are 4-1 ATS in their last five road games and 5-1 ATS in their last six games at Washington
- Packers (-7.5) vs Rams: Rams are 0-4 SU and ATS in their last four visits to Lambeau Field
