- The New York Giants visit the San Francisco 49ers on Monday Night Football for Week 10
- Could we see a big night from OBJ and George Kittle?
- Should you be cheering for an early field goal?
Week 10’s Monday Night Football matchup features the 1-7 New York Giants and the 2-7 San Francisco 49ers. We dig into the prop cards to find the three best bets for MNF.
Prop #1: Odell Beckham Jr. & George Kittle Combine for At Least 185 Receiving Yards
OBJ & Kittle Rec Yards | Odds |
---|---|
At Least 180 Combined Yards | -164 |
At Least 185 Combined Yards | -132 |
At Least 190 Combined Yards | -116 |
At Least 195 Combined Yards | -110 |
At Least 200 Combined Yards | -103 |

With little on the line in this game, it could turn out to offer some excitement. Each team will also be well rested with New York coming off their bye and the 49ers having played last Thursday.
Giants’ WR Odell Beckham Jr. just celebrated a birthday this week and sounds pumped up to do everything he can to turn their season around.
.@obj – My goal is to win these last eight games and go 9-7. It’s not an easy task but that’s the goal to win every game and do everything I can to help the team.

OBJ has totaled 279 receiving yards in his past two games and will face an 18th-ranked 49ers’ pass defense which has allowed five 100-plus yard receivers this year.
George Kittle leads the way among 49ers’ receivers with 692 yards, including 108 in his last game. In the Giants, he’ll face another middle of the pack pass defense which ranks 16th against the pass.

If we compare each receiver’s recent performances and consider the weeks that each were active, this prop would have cashed in three of four games.
OBJ vs Kittle Receiving Yards
Bye | Week 9 | 108 |
136 | Week 8 | 57 |
143 | Week 7 | 98 |
44 | Week 6 | 30 |
131 | Week 5 | 83 |
Pick:Â Odell Beckham Jr. & George Kittle to Combine for At Least 185 Receiving Yards
Prop #2: Order of Most Receiving Yards: (1st) Odell Beckham Jr., (2nd) Sterling Shepard, (3rd) Evan Engram
One of the options is to build a Player Prop “Trio” which ranks three players in a certain category.
Giants Player Receiving Prop | Odds |
---|---|
(1st, 2nd, 3rd) – OBJ, Shepard, Engram | +106 |
(1st, 2nd, 3rd) – OBJ, Engram, Shepard | +171 |
The Giants feature the biggest star on either team in Odell Beckham Jr. When building this prop, he would be the clear and obvious choice to finish with the most yards among Giants’ receivers.
Odell leads the team with 785 receiving yards and has been especially hot the past two weeks with 136 and 143 yard games. Of New York’s eight games that both he and Sterling Shepard have played, OBJ ended with more yards than Shepard in six of them.

Evan Engram has only played five games this season and finished ahead of OBJ in receiving yards on just one occasion. So the real battle should come down to second and third in this prop. Of the five games Shepard and Engram have both played in, Shepard holds the advantage in four of them.
Engram’s two recent games since returning from injury have seen him total 16 and 25 receiving yards. Shepard similarly struggled in the Giants’ last game with only 34 yards, but is not far removed from a 167-yard performance the game prior.
Pick:Â Order of Most Receiving Yards: (1st) Odell Beckham Jr., (2nd) Sterling Shepard, (3rd) Evan Engram
Prop #3: First Score of Game To Be a Field Goal or Safety
1st Score of Game Prop | Odds |
---|---|
Touchdown | -145 |
Field Goal or Safety | +125 |
The odds may favor the first score to be a touchdown, but MNF features two teams who have combined for three wins and who’ve struggled to score both often and more specifically early.
Pull up some stats on total team TDs/game and San Fran ranks 21st with 2.4 and New York even worse at 30th with 1.8. Take that a step further to first quarter PPG and once again they both rank poorly. The 49ers are 15th (5.1 points) and the Giants 27th (2.9 points).

Finally, if there’s an offensive category that both teams excel in it’s field goals. San Fran is tied for the third-most field goals with 18, with the Giants right behind at 17.
Pick: First Score of Game To Be a Field Goal or Safety
