The Ravens are coming off a narrow 17-9 win over Atlanta last week to stay within one game of the division-leading Cincinnati Bengals, whom they face next weekend.
The Steelers enter NFL Week 17 action still in playoff contest after winning four of their past five. However, their playoff hopes could be dashed even before they hit the gridiron on Sunday night.

Steelers vs Ravens Recent History
Sunday night’s matchup marks the second and final regular-season meeting between these fierce AFC north divisional rivals. The Ravens eked out a narrow 16-14 when they visited Pittsburgh three weeks ago, ending a four-game head-to-head losing streak.
The Ravens have struggled to generate offense in recent dates with the Steelers, averaging just 16.8 points per game over their past four clashes including a 16-13 home loss in Week 18 of last season. That has helped fuel a 4-0 run for the UNDER in totals betting.
Pittsburgh Steelers Betting Outlook
The Steelers have reaped the benefits of a stout defense during their climb back into playoff contention. Pittsburgh has given up just 15 points per game during their current 4-1 SU run, and have allowed more than 20 points just twice in their past 10 contests. However, the offense has struggled to take advantage, scoring just 18.4 points per game over their last five games.

While injuries have played a role in the Steelers’ offensive woes, Kenny Pickett has also failed to break through since suffering an injury that sidelined him for two games earlier this month. Overall, the rookie quarterback has connected on just three touchdown passes over his past seven full-game appearances, and completed more than 60% of pass attempts just twice in four home outings.
The Steelers may also be deflated by forces beyond their control prior to game time. Currently locked in a three-way tie with New England and the New York jets, one game back of Miami, Pittsburgh will be eliminated from playoff contention a Dolphins victory in their date with the Pats on Sunday afternoon, making patience a virtue for Sunday Night Football bettors.
Baltimore Ravens Betting Outlook
The Ravens continue to find ways to win, even without quarterback Lamar Jackson in the lineup. Jackson has missed four games with a knee injury and has already been ruled out of Sunday night’s contest.
However, the Ravens have made up for the lack of their dual-threat pivot with a huge defensive effort that has limited opponents to just 11.3 points per game during their current 3-1 SU run, and to single-digit point totals on three occasions over their past six outings.

Tyler Huntley has turned in a lukewarm performance leading the Ravens’ attack in Jackson’s offense. Huntley found the endzone for the first time in his four outings in last weekend’s victory over the Falcons and has tossed for two interceptions while averaging 132 passing yards per game.
The Ravens’ ground game has spearheaded the team’s offense. Baltimore ranks second in the NFL with 166 rushing yards per game and has topped that number in each of their past three outings. However, the team has failed to produce a scoring run in each of the past two weeks.
Steelers vs Ravens Prediction
The uncertainty of the Steelers’ playoff chances makes it tough to get behind them early at the sportsbooks. Should the Steelers find themselves eliminated from playoff contention before game time, it could provide a big psychological edge to the Ravens, who can set the stage for a shot at the AFC North title with a win on Sunday night.
Accordingly, sports bettors may want to reserve some wagering until close to game time of what is shaping up to be a low-scoring affair.
