Everyone will be watching when the Los Angeles Rams get together with the Seattle Seahawks for an NFC West showdown Thursday night. Kickoff from Lumen Field is scheduled for 8:20 pm ET on FOX.
The Rams are coming off a 37-20 home loss to the Arizona Cardinals last Sunday. Los Angeles had no answer for Kyler Murray and the Cardinals as they allowed 465 yards of total offense in the drubbing. Seattle fared much better in their first division game of the season beating the San Francisco 49ers 28-21.
The look-ahead line for this game was Seattle -1 but is now sitting at Los Angeles -2.5 at most shops. The Rams have been better than expected with Matthew Stafford under center and the betting markets have adjusted. The total has shot up to 54.5 since the original line of 48 was released. As always, there are plenty of player props to consider.

Matthew Stafford Bounces Back
The Los Angeles Rams went out and got Matthew Stafford in the offseason and he immediately made them Super Bowl contenders.
There were already pieces in places but the quarterback position was always going to be a question mark with Jared Goff running the show. After four games the Rams are 3-1 and it has everything to do with the play of Stafford.

Los Angeles laid an egg last week against the Arizona Cardinals but that was expected given that they had just beaten the Super Bowl Champion, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the week before. The Rams’ defense has now given up at least 24 points in three straight games. If anything, the loss was on them as the Cardinals drove up and down the field dropping 37 points in the process.
Shoddy defense is actually the cornerstone of many great quarterback games. Generally speaking, if a team isn’t chasing points, they are unlikely to throw the ball the necessary number of times to rack up yards. It’s basically science. The Rams aren’t the only ones with a bad defense in this game, the Seattle Seahawks aren’t great on that side of the ball either. That’s huge because both teams should feel pressured to pass for the entire four quarters.
So far this season, the Seahawks have given up 30 or more points twice in four games. In those games, we’ve seen quarterbacks like Ryan Tannehill and Kirk Cousins throw for more than 300 yards. Even Carson Wentz threw for 251 yards and he plays for the slowest paced team in the league, the Indianapolis Colts. This could easily turn into a back and forth game where both teams get multiple first downs seemingly every drive. If that happens, Stafford will throw for over 300 yards.

Gerald Everett Can Reach the Painted Area
Our hands are tied here as we literally have to have a touchdown scorer prop bet for the primetime NFL games. It’s a rule.
This one is all about the process of elimination. Once we eliminate Tyler Lockett and DK Metcalf since the Rams have only given up nine touchdowns to wide receivers in their last 20 games, we end up with a face familiar to Rams’ fans.
His name is Gerald Everett.

Everett came to Seattle from Los Angeles in the offseason and is kind of under the radar this week. He missed last week due to COVID but he has already tested negative this week and is on track to play Thursday night. He has the revenge narrative in his back pocket and we’ve already seen Tyler Conklin score on them this season.
Why not Everett?
- Pick: Gerald Everett Anytime TD Scorer (+350) – Wager 0.10 units to win 0.35 units
- 2021 Touchdown Scorer prop record: 3-9, -0.60 units
