Biggest NFL Week 16 Point Spread: Bills (-13.0) vs Patriots

The biggest Week 16 spread is the Buffalo Bills (12-3) laying 13 points at home against the New England Patriots.

Buffalo’s offense has looked absolutely unstoppable the last two weeks in particular. Josh Allen had surged to -400 in the NFL MVP odds before he led Buffalo to 45 points (and counting) against Detroit in Week 15. If Buffalo can hold onto its 45-35 fourth-quarter lead on the Lions this afternoon, it will be their eighth win in the last nine games. And the only loss in that span was a 44-42 barnburner at the Rams.

New England (3-11), meanwhile, has lost four in a row, and the two road games in that stretch were both lopsided affairs: 34-15 at Miami on Nov. 24, and 30-17 at Arizona early today.

Highest NFL Week 16 Game Total: Browns vs Bengals (49.0)

It’s weird to see the Cleveland Browns (3-11) listed with the highest total in any given week, but such is the reality of playing the current iteration of the Cincinnati Bengals (6-8). Cincinnati has gone over 50 points in six of their last seven games, mostly by a sizable margin. That trend continued in Week 15 with a 37-27 win over Tennessee, their second straight W.

Since Week 7, Bengal games have averaged 63.1 PPG. Their offense has been electric and their defense equally abysmal.

Lowest NFL Week 16 Game Total: Jaguars vs Raiders (39.5)

The only total that’s under 40 in Week 16 is the Jacksonville Jaguars (3-11) vs Las Vegas Raiders (2-11), which is sitting at 39.5. Jacksonville managed to score 25 points in their Week 15 loss to the Jets (32-25) but prior to that, were averaging just 10.8 PPG in their previous four.

The Raiders are coming off a bye. They have been held in the teens in three straight: a 19-17 loss to the Chiefs, a 29-19 loss to the Broncos, and a 34-19 loss to the Dolphins. The only time they’ve scored more than 20 points since Week 4 was against the aforementioned Bengals (a 41-24 loss).
