- The Philadelphia Eagles are given +900 odds to go 17-0
- Philly still has a game against the Dallas Cowboys and two against the New York Giants
- Find out below who we think could knock off the Eagles, or if they can go undefeated
We’re just about halfway home in the NFL season, and there’s just one team stopping the 1972 Dolphins from popping bottles.
The Philadelphia Eagles are the league’s lone undefeated, team as they sit at 8-0, and sit in a solid second place in the 2023 Super Bowl odds.
Still, the intrigue here is perfection, and DraftKings has released some recent prop bets on the possibility of Philadelphia running the table — through the regular season and through to the playoffs.
Let’s run down these wagers and see if the Eagles can stay undefeated. We’ll start with what team could end the fun run.
Odds for Frist Team to Beat Eagles

Eagles Are No 8-0 Fluke
Philly is literally hovering at the top of almost every offensive and defensive category.
They’re the second-highest scoring team in the NFL, third in yards per game, and ninth in pass years per game. Defensively, they’re third in yards allowed and pass yards per game, while holding teams to 16.9 points.

Philadelphia is +15 in turnover differential, with Baltimore a distant second at +7, and they’re tied for sixth in the NFL with 26 sacks.
Their first half schedule had just two games with current winning records (Vikings and Cowboys), but that number jumps doubles to four in the second half, including a frisky Tennessee Titans team that has proven to be a tough out.
NFC East Foes Could Sink Eagles Undefeated Streak
The oddsmakers may have gone a little too heavy on recency bias, giving the best odds to beat the Eagles to their next two opponents. Philly already crunched the Washington 24-8, though the forced switch to Taylor Heinicke has infused some life into the 4-5 Commanders.
Indianapolis is a mess, coming off a demoralizing loss to the Patriots where they couldn’t muster anything on offense under new starter Sam Ehlinger. We need to look elsewhere.
Chauncey Gardner-Johnson now has his 5th INT in 4 games.

The real pitfalls are the other NFC East teams, as both the Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants sit at 6-2, and are legitimate threats to not only send the Eagles to their first loss, but also upend the current 2023 NFL Divisional odds.
The Eagles have a win over the Cowboys already, though Dak Prescott was injured, and backup Cooper Rush threw three interceptions in a 26-17 loss.

That talented Dallas D, however, put the clamps on quarterback Jalen Hurts. The new favorite in the 2023 NFL MVP odds, Hurts was held to under 200 yards passing — the only time this season — and ran for only 27 yards on nine carries.
New York will square off twice with Philadelphia in the final five weeks of the regular season.

While the Giants’ record could be argued as suspect — Tennessee and Baltimore are their signature wins — they do boast one of the NFL’s best rushing attacks, and are a respectable 10th in pass yards per attempt allowed.
But they’re second-last in rush yards allowed per carry, which can be exploited by the Eagles’ 6th-best rush attack.
The pick: Cowboys (+800)

Are Eagles Undefeated Season Odds Worth Betting?
You can chart a path to both 17-0 and 20-0 for the Eagles, and not just if you’re a die hard Philly fan.
However, there’s a reason that only those ’72 Dolphins went the distance without an L, and the Patriots are the only other team to post an undefeated regular season, when they went 16-0. Of course, their season ended with a Super Bowl loss to the Giants.
It’s really freaking hard to do. I don’t see it happening.
There’s no value in a betting no here (-2000), and it just seems a little low to see a team go 20-0 at +2500 odds.
If you do have an itch to still wager on perfection, you might be better off betting each of the games individually, week by week.
