Giants vs Vikings Recent History
The teams met on Christmas Eve in Minneapolis with the Vikings winning 27-24 on Greg Joseph’s 61-yard field goal as time expired.
The Vikings’ Kirk Cousins threw for 299 yards and three touchdowns. Justin Jefferson had 12 catches for 133 yards and a TD and tight end T.J. Hockenson added 13 receptions for 109 yards and two scores.
The Giants’ Daniel Jones had 334 passing yards and threw for a touchdown. Saquon Barkley accounted for 133 scrimmage yards – 84 rushing and 49 receiving.
Giants Offense vs Vikings Defense
Barkley had 22 touches against the Vikings three weeks ago with 14 rushes and eight receptions. Look for him to get as many or more in the rematch against a Vikings defense that gave up the second-most total yards in the league during the regular season.
Pretty cool an explosive Saquon Barkley was back this year. Let’s see a few more of those big runs on Sunday 😉

Following two seasons in which he was slowed by a knee injury, Barkley has proven to be durable this year. He has 295 carries for 1,312 yards and 57 receptions for 338 yards.
Jones can also use his legs as a weapon. His 708 rushing yards in the regular season were a franchise record for a quarterback.
Veteran kicker Graham Gano could give the Giants an advantage in a close game after making 29 of 32 field goal attempts and 32 of 34 extra-point tries.
Vikings Offense vs Giants Defense
Jefferson led the NFL with 128 receptions and 1,809 receiving yards in the regular season. He also proved to be a tough matchup for the Giants in Week 16 along with Hockenson.
However, the Giants’ secondary could be better equipped this time after missing safety Xavier McKinney (hand) and cornerback Adoree’ Jackson (knee) in the regular-season matchup. McKinney returned on Jan. 1 in a win over the Indianapolis Colts after missing seven games while Jackson is expected to play Sunday following a seven-game absence.
Jefferson has +15000 NFL MVP odds.
.@Vikings WR Justin Jefferson (@JJettss2) can’t be stopped. 🔥
🏆 He has the most receptions and receiving yards by a player in his first three seasons of all time.

The Vikings were fifth in the NFL in passing yards during the regular season and the Giants were 15th in pass defense.
Joseph beat the Giants with his end-of-game heroics and has a team-record five game-winning field goals this season but has been hit-or-miss. He is 26 of 33 on field goals and 40 for 46 on extra points.
Giants vs Vikings Injury Report
Vikings center Garrett Bradbury (back) is expected to play after missing five games in a row.
Listed as questionable for Minnesota are safety Harrison Smith (knee), cornerback Cameron Dantzler (ankle) and running back Kene Nwangwu (illness). Smith sat out last week’s game.
The Giants have no one listed on their injury report.
In addition to Jackson, defensive tackle Leonard Williams (neck) and outside linebacker Azeez Ojulari (ankle) are expected back for New York after missing last week’s game.
Giants vs Vikings Prediction
The Vikings have won an NFL-record 11 one-score games this season. While it might not be fair to disrespect a 13-win team, the bottom line is Minnesota has given up three more points than they have scored.
The luck must run out sometime and the playoffs seem like the time for that to happen. Look for the Giants to pull the mild upset. Take advantage of New York’s underdog value in the NFL odds.
Pick: Giants ML (+130)
Season Record: 6-7 (-1.7 units) ATS
