- Sportsbooks expect RB Le’Veon Bell to be dealt before the NFL trade deadline
- The New England Patriots are the favored destination
- Has Bell played his last game as a Pittsburgh Steeler?
Not all that long ago, the smart money was on the Pittsburgh Steelers and contract holdout Le’Veon Bell kissing and making up. They were expected to find common ground that would enable the two sides to come to an agreement on a new deal.

No | +200 |
That’s no longer the case. With Pittsburgh off to a 1-2-1 start, sportsbooks are offering strong odds that Bell will be located to a new home prior to the Oct. 30 NFL trade deadline, and the location they see him landing makes perfect sense – the New England Patriots.

The Steelers are reportedly seeking a player and a draft pick for Bell.
At this point, though, despite the fact that the Steelers have put it out there that they are willing to entertain offers for their All-Pro running back, teams aren’t rushing to Pittsburgh’s door with proposals.
Patriots Logical Home For Bell
Back in the days when they were the scourge of the NFL, the Oakland Raiders were the team where the NFL’s  malcontents and outcasts gathered. Ted Hendricks, Lyle Alzado, and John Matuszak were just a few of the free spirits who found success together in the silver and black.
Today, New England has become the gathering place for this type of player. Just two weeks ago, the Pats picked up wideout Josh Gordon from Cleveland. In the past, they’ve enjoyed success by bringing Randy Moss and Corey Dillon into the fold.
Where Will Bell Toil?
If it’s not New England, then where might Bell end up?
Again, some sportsbooks are out there with a special bet on this subject. The usual list of contenders have surfaced, such as the Philadelphia Eagles and Green Bay Packers.

There are also credible sources indicating that Bell will report to the Steelers during their Week 7 bye and return to action with the team.
