Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders opened as the favorite to be the #1 pick in the NFL Draft odds last April and maintained that status until the calendar flipped to 2025. But that’s when Miami pivot Cameron Ward inched past him and never looked back.

Now Ward is a prohibitively short -20000 to be the first QB selected in the 2025 draft. The more interesting question has become: will Shedeur even be the #2 pick? He’s a -195 favorite in that market with Ole Miss QB Jaxson Dart just behind him at +165.

First & Second Running Back Drafted Odds

PlayerFirst RB OddsSecond RB Odds
Ashton Jeanty-20000+5000
Omarion Hampton+6500-230
TreVeyon Henderson+7000+175
Quinshon Judkins+40000+4500
Kaleb Johnson+40000+5000
Jaydon Blue+40000+15000
Dylan Sampson+40000+15000
Cam Skattebo+40000+10000
Ollie Gordon II+40000+15000

The odds to be the first running back off the board also have a massive favorite: Boise State’s Ashton Jeanty, who is -20000, same as Ward in the QB props.

When it comes to the second RB, North Carolina’s Omarion Hampton is the chalk at -230. Matt McEwan’s latest NFL mock draft has Hampton as the only other running back going in the first round (#20 to the Denver Broncos).

Ohio State’s TreVeyon Henderson is seen as the only real competition to Hampton, priced at +175 to be the second running back off the board. Most mock drafts have the former Buckeye going in the second round.

First & Second Wide Receiver Picked Odds

PlayerFirst WR OddsSecond WR Odds
Tet McMillan-290+220
Matthew Golden+200-180
Emeka Egbuka+1600+320
Luther Burden III+5000+2500
Jayden Higgins+6500+5000
Tre Harris+7500+9000
Isaiah Bond+8000+10000
Elic Ayomanor+10000+10000
Jack Bech+15000OFF
Xavier Restrepo+15000OFF
Tez Johnson+15000+10000

The first WR odds continue to favor Arizona’s Tet McMillan but, at -290, there’s still considerable doubt. The other potential first WR off the board is Texas wideout Matthew Golden, who is +200 to be the first WR picked and the -180 favorite to be the second.

The clear third choice on draft boards is Ohio State’s Emeka Egbuka, who is priced at +1600 to be the first WR selected and +320 to be the second.

First Tight End Drafted Odds

PlayerOdds
Tyler Warren-450
Colston Loveland+280
Mason Taylor+10000
Elijan Arroyo+10000
Terrance Ferguson+15000
Harold Fannin Jr+15000

The odds to be the first tight end selected in the 2025 NFL draft heavily favor Penn State’s Tyler Warren at -450, which amounts to an 81.8% implied probability. The only other plausible choice according to oddsmakers is Michigan TE Colton Loveland, who has +280 odds (26.3%). No other tight end is shorter than +10000.

SBD’s mock draft has Warren going #10 to the Colts (via trade with the Bears) and Loveland going #14 to the Bears with the Colts’ pick.

First & Second Cornerback Selected Odds

PlayerFirst CB OddsSecond CB Odds
Travis Hunter-20000+10000
Will Johnson+3500+140
Jahdae Barron+6000-110
Azareye’h Thomas+20000+15000
Trey Amon+20000+6000
Shavon Revel Jr+20000+4000
Maxwell Hairston+20000+600
Benjamin Morrison+20000+15000

Dual-threat CB/WR Travis Hunter is being treated exclusively as a corner inat DraftKings and, as such, is a heavy favorite to be the first CB chosen in the 2025 NFL draft. SBD’s latest mock draft has Hunter going second overall to the Browns, and then no other corners until #13.

Michigan’s Will Johnson is SBD’s second corner off the board but the betting odds slightly favor Texas Longhorn Jahdae Barron (-110) over Johnson (+140).

First & Second D-Lineman Drafted Odds

PlayerFirst DL OddsSecond DL Odds
Abdul Carter-20000+4000
Mykel Williams+3000+250
Mason Graham+4000-200
Shemar Stewart+6000+1800
Mike Green+10000+2800

James Pearce Jr+25000+10000
Jack Sawyer+25000+10000
Donovan Ezeiruaku+25000+10000

The defensive lineman/edge rusher market is another where there is a massively-short favorite. This time, it’s Penn State edge rusher Abdul Carter (-20000). Carter is also the -800 favorite to be the third-overall pick to the Giants (or whoever trades into that spot).

Curiously, Michigan DT Mason Graham is the second-favorite at +4000 but he’s not favored to be the second DL picked. That honor belongs to Georgia’s Mykel Williams, who is the -200 favorite with Graham second at +250.

First Offensive Lineman Drafted Odds

PlayerOdds
Will Campbell-1400
Kelvin Banks Jr+850
Armand Membou+850
Tyler Booker+7000
Josh Simmons+7500
Josh Conerly Jr+25000
Grey Zabel+25000
Donovan Jackson+25000
Emery Jones Jr+25000
Aireontae Ersery+25000

LSU’s Will Campbell is the -1400 favorite to be the first offensive lineman picked on Thursday night, which is a 93.3% implied probability. Campbell is the -475 chalk to be the #4 pick to the Pats.

SBD’s mock draft has two other OL going in the first 15 picks: Missouri’s Armand Membou at #7 to the Jets and Texas’ Kelvin Banks Jr at #11 to the 49ers.

First Safety Drafted Odds

PlayerOdds
Malaki Starks-155
Nick Emmanwori+125
Xavier Watts+4000
Kevin Winston Jr+15000
Sebastian Castro+25000
Lathan Ransom+25000

The odds to be the first safety picked in 2025 slightly favor Georgia’s Malaki Starks (-155) over South Carolina’s Nick Emmanwori (+125). Both are expected to be first-round picks and SBD’s mock projects Starks to the Vikings at #24 and Emmanwori to the Bills at #30.

No other safety’s project as first-round pick. Xavier Watts is third on the odds board but at a distant +4000.
