A big thank you to Matt Ryan and the Indianapolis Colts for deciding to look like a competent offense — for three quarters at least — in Week 13 vs the Cowboys.
That pretty much sent us spiraling, from so close to jumping back into the black, to having to kick that rock back up the mountain.
We’ve got a good one to get us back on track this Sunday Night, as the Dolphins visit the LA Chargers, two teams in the top half of scoring in the league this season.
That should produce a bevy of great picks for our NFL Week 14 player props. Read below to see our favorite bets.

Prop #1: Tagovailoa Pass Yards & Waddle Longest Reception
The Dolphins are a passing factory: even getting shut down in a loss to San Francisco last week, Tua Tagovailoa still threw for 295 yards. It’s the fifth straight game he’s cruised past this total.
LA is 19th in pass defense in the NFL, surrendering 220.1 yards per game, but only Derek Carr (in Week 1) and Patrick Mahomes have been able to pass this total. Look for Tua to be the third.

One of his home-run hitters is Jaylen Waddle, who was held below this longest reception total last week against San Fran, after breaking this figure at least once in the previous six games.
The Chargers are susceptible to big plays: they have allowed at least one receiver to haul in a chunk play (in this case, over 24.5 yards) in all but one game this season. They’ve surrendered this total to multiple receivers in six games.
Picks:Â
- Tagovailoa OVER 286.5 yards passing (-130); 1 unit to win 0.77 units
- Waddle longest reception OVER 24.5 yards (-115); 1.5 units to win 1.31 units

Prop #2: Hebert Rush Yards & Ekeler Receiving Yards
I’d suggest taking Herbert’s longest rush prop, but for seven more yards, you get better odds for total rush yards.
The Chargers’ pivot has shown more with his legs in recent weeks, carrying for at least five times in three of the last four games, while going over this total four times in his last six outings.
Miami has allowed five pivots to cross this total this season.

As for Austin Ekeler, he’s averaged 10 targets per game over his last seven starts, and he’s gone over this yardage mark in four of those games, and seven games overall this season.
If he even gets his average receiving yards per game here (47), you cruise to a W.
Picks:
- Herbert OVER 8.5 rushing yards (-105); 1 unit to win 0.92 units
- Ekeler OVER 40.5 receiving yards (-114); 1 unit to win 0.88 units
Dolphins vs Chargers Scoring Props
Player | Odds to Score 1st TD | Odds to Score Any TD |
---|---|---|
Austin Ekeler (LAC) | +500 | -220 |
Tyreek Hill (MIA) | +700 | -120 |
Jaylen Waddle (MIA) | +800 | +105 |
Raheem Mostert (MIA) | +850 | +110 |
Jeff Wilson Jr (MIA) | +850 | +110 |
Keenan Allen (LAC) | +1000 | +120 |
Mike Williams (LAC) | +1100 | +130 |
Joshua Palmer (LAC) | +1700 | +235 |
Trent Sherfield (MIA) | +1600 | +245 |
Mike Gesicki (MIA) | +1800 | +280 |
Gerald Everett (LAC) | +2000 | +280 |
Dolphins vs Chargers Touchdown Scorer Odds
Tyreek Hill has at least one TD in seven of his last eight starts in California, while Jeff Wilson Jr has scored at least one major in three of Miami’s last four games.
On the Chargers’ side, Allen has hit paydirt in three of the last four games with the Bolts as underdogs. Wondering why Ekeler has -220 odds to hit the endzone? He’s broken the plane in 11 of LA’s last 13 home games.
Let’s go with a pick that provides a little bit better value. With so much attention on Hill and Waddle, Trent Sherfield has emerged as a third option, and he has TD grabs in two of the last three.
Picks:
- Sherfield ANYTIME TD scorer (+245); 1 unit to win 2.45 units
- Week 13 Record: 1-4; Overall SNF props record: 24-27, -4.13 units
