For the most part, serious ailments are few and far between in both of Sunday’s injury reports and inactives for NFL Divisional Round playoff action.
The Detroit Lions are expecting that rookie TE Sam LaPorta (knee) will be able to answer the bell again this week. He played most of their Wild Card Weekend game against the Los Angeles Rams. Detroit’s opponents, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, removed the injury designation from QB1 Baker Mayfield (ribs).
In the AFC matchup, both the Buffalo Bills (Gabe Davis, knee) and Kansas City Chiefs (Kadarius Toney, hip) will be missing starting WR.

Buccaneers Edmonds, Barrett Should Play
There’s only a few names populating the Tampa Bay injury reports and mostly, the news is good. QB1 Baker Mayfield (ribs) had his injury designation removed this week. Both RB Chase Edmonds (toe) and Shaquil Bennett (ankle) returned to practice later in the week and are expected to play.

Russell Gage-WR | Knee | Out (IR) |

The 21-day window to activate DE Mike Greene (calf) from IR expired this week, meaning he’ll be out for the remainder of the season.
Lions LaPorta Listed As Questionable
Detroit rookie TE Sam LaPorta, scorer of 10 regular-season TDs, is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game due to a knee injury he suffered in the club’s Week 18 game. However, he was also questionable for Wild Card Weekend against the Los Angeles Rams. Not only did LaPorta see action on 80% of the Lions’ offensive snaps, he caught a TD pass.

However, WR Kalif Raymond has been ruled out by the Lions again this week due to a knee injury. Raymond is Detroit’s top return man. Without him, Donovan Peoples-Jones handled kick and punt return duties in the win over the Rams.

On defense, LDT Derrick Nnadi (triceps) is out, while WLB Willie Gay was a late-week addition to the injury reports with a neck problem. He’s listed as questionable.

On a positive note, punter Sam Martin (left hamstring) looks like he’ll be good to go on Sunday. Holder on Buffalo placements, he was hurt while chasing down a loose football last week after Pittsburgh blocked a Tyler Bass field goal attempt.
Punter Matt Haack was released from Buffalo’s practice squad on Saturday, a sure indication that Martin will be handling the punting duties.
