The Los Angeles Chargers will look to beat another NFC East opponent when they host the Dallas Cowboys in Week 2 after beating the Washington Football Team 20-16 in Week 1. Kickoff from SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, CA is scheduled for 4:25 pm ET on CBS. Jim Nance, Tony Romo and Tracy Wolfson will be on the call.
The Cowboys had a moral victory in Week 1. They only lost to the Super Bowl Champion, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, on a field goal in the waning minutes of their Thursday night matchup. The Chargers fared much better in their opening game win over the Washing ton Football Team. Justin Herbert looked every bit the part of an elite quarterback throwing for 337 yards in the victory.
This game opened at the Chargers -1.5 and the line has since swelled to Los Angeles -3.5 at most shops. As for the total, the under has attracted most of the money but the line has moved from 52 all the way up to 55. Just like every other Sunday, there are plenty of player props to consider which we will dive into here.

Jalen Who?
Ask people on the street if they know who Jalen Guyton is and you will likely get a lot of confused looks. It’s fine, the less people that know about him, the better. Being behind Keenan Allen and Mike Williams, he won’t get a ton of opportunities, but as he showed last year, he will make the most of the opportunities he gets.
HOLY CHARGERS 😱⚡️

Guyton has speed so he may not get as much underneath work but he does get it. He’s getting snaps too as last week he was on the field for 53 which equated to 65% of the Chargers’ snaps. He’s also not just a deep threat guy as he can also get looks underneath and in the red zone.
When people think of those Kyler Murray Allen teams, they often forget Jalen Guyton.
Well now he has his first NFL touchdown! Allen, TX stand up!!pic.twitter.com/awtom9M6U8

The Chargers should be in situations where they need points and therefore need to throw the ball. The Cowboys were able to hang points on a very good Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense last week and I think they will be able to do the same this week. The thing is, the Chargers should be able to move the ball on Dallas.
The total for this game is in the mid-50s and while that may be a little high, it does suggest offense. Whether or not that translates into points is another story but one way to get in on the over without taking the over is by taking Jalen Guyton’s receiving yards prop over. That should cash either way just because of the game script.
- The Pick: Jalen Guyton Over 27.5 Receiving yards (-110) – Wager 1.10 units to win 1 units
- NFL Player Prop record: 2-1 +1 unit

Who Scores?
I have a love/hate relationship with the touchdown scorer prop. I never think there’s enough value on them but they are just too fun to pass up. Once you’ve bet one, you’re never going back. Luckily, I think there’s one guy in this game that is very likely to get into the end zone and his name is Mike Williams.

Williams actually should have had two touchdowns last week but he dropped one. He had a 26% target share in Week 1 and he’s going up against a Cowboys defense that gave up four passing touchdowns last week. He’s a good bet to get one this Sunday.
- Pick: Mike Williams – Anytime Touchdown Scorer (+140) – Wager 0.1 units to win 0.14 units
- Touchdown Scorer prop record 0-3 -.3 units
