  • Two struggling teams meet on MNF when the Buffalo Bills visit the New York Jets on Oct. 14
  • Both teams have lost two in a row and the Jets are also returning from London
  • Below, see a three-leg +565 Bills vs Jets same-game parlay for Monday Night Football

The Buffalo Bills (3-2, 1-2 away, 2-3 ATS) and New York Jets (2-3, 1-1 home, 2-3 ATS) both enter their Week 6 Monday Night Football matchup riding two-game losing streaks. Yet the winner of tonight’s game, which kicks off at 8:15 pm ET, will hold top spot in the unimpressive AFC East. With Buffalo’s defense looking like the weakest link in tonight’s matchup, my Bills vs Jets same-game parlay is correlated for scoring.

Bills vs Jets Same-Game Parlay

Pick Odds
Over 41.5 Points -105
Breece Hall Anytime TD -110
James Cook Anytime TD +115
BUF vs NYJ SGP Odds +565 (using FanDuel’s 30% SGP boost)

All three legs are predicated on a fairly high-scoring game. In addition to the over on 41.5, I’m also betting on both teams’ RB1 to find the end zone.

Using FanDuel’s 30% SGP profit boost for tonight’s game, what would have been a +435 same-game parlay winds up with tantalizing +565 odds.

Buffalo is listed as a 1.5 to 2.0-point favorite in Monday’s Bills vs Jets odds. This game is, of course, the first for Jets interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich, who replaces the ousted Robert Saleh for the time being. Ulbrich is also New York’s DC.

Bills vs Jets SGP Pick #1: Over 41.5 Points

The Jets pair a solid defense with an underperforming offense, which is why this total is in the low 40s. But with the Buffalo defense playing as poorly as it has the last couple weeks, I expect Aaron Rodgers and company to – relatively speaking – bust out on Monday night.

Buffalo was gashed for 425 yards last week in a 23-20 loss to the Texans, which came a week after Baltimore racked up 427 yards in a 35-10 blowout. Buffalo’s defense still ranks sixth in D-DVOA thanks to shutdown performances against Miami sans Tua Tagovailoa (31-10) and Jacksonville (47-10) but this unit is susceptible.

Linebacker Matt Milano is on IR, DT Ed Oliver is out with a hamstring injury, and CD Taron Johnson is questionable with an arm issue.

BUF vs NYJ Same-Game Parlay Pick #2: Breece Hall Anytime TD

If the Jets are having success against the Buffalo D, as I expect, then Breece Hall is going to play a big role. One of the lone bright spots of the New York offense this season, Hall leads the team with 345 all-purpose yards and three touchdowns through five games. Those aren’t overwhelming numbers, but when you factor in that the Jets are only averaging 286.6 YPG (26th) and scoring 18.6 PPG (25th), it’s a good indication of Hall’s massive role in this offense.

Last season, with Zach Wilson “spearheading” an anemic New York offense, Hall still managed to find the end zone a team-leading nine times. He’s almost as dangerous in the passing game (four receiving TDs last year plus one this year) as he is on the ground (five rushing TDs in 2023 plus two in 2024).

Bills vs Jets SGP Pick #3: James Cook Anytime TD

The final leg of this parlay is the riskiest. Buffalo running back James Cook has been battling a toe injury all week and is officially listed as questionable. But latest reports are that he’s going to play, and my colleague John Hyslop has included the over on Cook’s receptions among his best Bills vs Jets player props to bet.

I’m taking a slightly different tack here and betting Cook to find paydirt. If he’s close to 100%, which appears to be the case thanks to the extra day of rest, he’s going to be the focal point of the Buffalo attack yet again.

Cook is currently tied for eighth in the NFL with four rushing TDs and has added another through the air. He was limited to just two rushing touchdowns last year as QB Josh Allen did the bulk of the heavy lifting near the goal line (15 rushing TDs). But that dynamic has changed this season with Cook accounting for half Buffalo’s rushing touchdowns so far and Allen just 25%.
