Two teams coming off disappointing losses are in the Big Easy to try and right the ship, as the Denver Broncos visit the New Orleans Saints on Thursday Night Football.

The Saints are 3-point home dogs in the Broncos vs Saints odds, as they’re starting rookie Spencer Rattler and dinged up along the offense, with receivers Rashid Shaheed and Chris Olave already ruled out, and TE Taysom Hill doubtful.

This trickles down to our world, as we sort through NFL player props to choose from.

Expect to see a lot of Alvin Kamara, who’s got the highest rush line across the board, and perhaps in Sean Payton’s return to New Orleans, he unleashes rookie Bo Nix for a big outing.

No pass catcher has a receiving yards total over 50, with Denver’s Courtland Sutton checking in at 46.5. He and fellow receiver Devaughn Dele have been tabbed at 3.5 grabs, with Kamara leading all at 4.5.

Off his first TD of the season, Saints tight end Bub Means has a receiving line of 32.5.

Broncos vs Saints Player Prop #1: Bo Nix Passing Yards

It hasn’t been pretty, but Bo Nix continues to develop, though the jury is still out on whether he is a legit starter in the NFL.

He’s completing passes at a 61.1% rate, and aside from an absolute dud against the Jets, he’s thrown for over 200 yards in four of his last five starts.

Last week, Nix went 19-for-33 for 216 yards and a pair of TD’s, though much of that production came when Denver was already down 20 to the Chargers.

NOLA’s pass defense is middle of the pack, allowing 224.8 yards per game, but were just lit on fire by Baker Mayfield and the Bucs. I like the generous line Nix is getting Thursday.

DEN vs NOLA Player Prop #2: Alvin Kamara Receptions

With the Saints thin at the skill positions, there should be plenty of touches for Alvin Kamara, but I’m not sure it’s as a runner.

Denver is Top 5 against the rush on the year, and Kamara has totalled just 66 yards on the ground the last couple of weeks.

But he’s still been plenty important in the pass game, with at least five receptions in three straight games, and four times in six contests this season.

We’re not sure if Rattler is ready to rip it down the field, but he’ll have a security blanket underneath at all times.

Kamara is the only player in the field with minus odds for an anytime touchdown. Denver RB Javonte Williams has the next best odds of finding paydirt at +155.

Courtland Sutton came up with a beauty TD grab last week against the Chargers, giving him a pair of scores over the last three games.

His 47 targets nearly doubles the next nearest Denver receiver, so let’s bank on that connection with Nix in the short week.
