Favorites for the 2023 Offensive Rookie of the Year
Robinson, the 6-foot, 215-pound running back from the University of Texas, has captivated the attention of NFL scouts and analysts alike with his blend of speed, power, and versatility.
Robinson’s ability to find open lanes and burst through defenses with his speed and uncanny vision make him a game changer on the field. His capacity to turn small gains into big plays will be a significant factor in his Offensive Rookie of the Year campaign.

Young and Stroud being next in line is no surprise. After a stellar career at Alabama, Young is widely regarded as the top prospect in the class and is the new favorite to be the first overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.
Meanwhile, Stroud is far and away the most pro-ready quarterback to come out of Ohio State this century. He possesses the accuracy and poise needed to break the Buckeyes’ NFL curse.
History is against Robinson
“Running backs don’t matter.”
You’ve heard the phrase time and time again over the past decade. That being said, Robinson is just different. A player so good, he’s already being likened to NFL greats such as Ricky Williams before he even steps on the field. Robinson has the ability to light the NFL world on fire in his rookie year and win this award in a landslide.

However, history is against him. A wide receiver has won the Offensive Rookie of the Year award in each of the past two seasons, with Garrett Wilson and Ja’Marr Chase taking home the trophy.
Quarterbacks Justin Herbert and Kyler Murray won in landslide victories the two years’ prior. Additionally, it took a monstrous maiden campaign from Giants’ running back Saquon Barkley to wrestle the award away from top overall pick Baker Mayfield in 2018.
Recent rule tweaks have accentuated the passing game even further. Moreover, with talking heads gushing about even the smallest achievement of quarterbacks, many voters might become engrossed in the narrative.
Robinson would have to have a remarkable campaign to take home the 2023 Offensive Rookie of the Year award. Even the slightest hiccup could curtail his candidacy. While garbage time stats could be enough to elevate any number of quarterbacks to the pole position.

2023 Offensive Rookie of the Year Prediction
While both Bryce Young and CJ Stroud will likely be given an opportunity to make an impact from the moment they arrive on an NFL football field, the real value lies further down the board.
Former Florida Gators quarterback Anthony Richardson made waves at the NFL Scouting Combine for his incredible athletic feats. He could do the same every Sunday this fall and use a multitude of highlight-reel plays to come away with the 2023 Offensive Rookie of the Year award.
Richardson is a top-tier pocket manager with a howitzer for an arm, who happens to run a 4.4 40-yard dash. He could run over, or around, or jump above all other candidates with ease to take home the 2023 Offensive Rookie of the Year award.
Pick: Anthony Richardson (+1400)
