- The Bucs are just 3-7 straight up this season
- But the OVER is 8-2 in TB games in 2018
- See how much money you could have won following this trend
For the sake of your bank roll, I really hope you haven’t been betting the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to win too many games this season.
At 3-7 straight up, you’d be in the hole quite a bit. And you wouldn’t be having much more luck betting the Bucs to cover the spread, either. They’re just 3-6-1 ATS.
However, the most profitable bet you could be making in the 2018 NFL season involves the Bucs. The OVER is a whopping 8-2 in their ten games this season.
A $50 wager on the OVER each week in Tampa Bay games would have you +$291.39 on the season
Had you been betting 1 unit per week on the OVER in Tampa Bay games this season, you’d be +4.83 units – sitting at 5.83 units. If you prefer dealing in dollars and cents, $50 wagers each week would have you +$291.39 on the season.
In Week 12 the Bucs will host the San Francisco 49ers, where the game total has been set at 54 (as of 11/23).
Team | Spread | Win | Total |
---|---|---|---|
San Francisco 49ers | +3.0 (-120) | +130 | O 54 (-110) |
Tampa Bay Buccaneers | -3.0 (+100) | -150 | U 54 (-110) |
The 54-point over/under is the highest of any game on Sunday, but that’s no reason to worry. The Bucs have seen totals of at least 54 points five times this season and have covered them all.
The Bucs Offense has Done Their Part
Tampa Bay has scored the eighth-most points in the league this season, averaging 26.7 per game.
But if you remove their three-point effort against Washington in Week 10 and their ten-point effort against Chicago in Week 4, they’d be averaging 31.8 PPG.
And looking to those eight games, they haven’t scored less than 26 points in any of them.
The Bucs Defense has Done Theirs, Too
Tampa Bay’s defense has been even better, though, in terms of covering the over/under, as they are allowing 32.9 points per game – the most in the NFL.
Just like the offense, the defense has been pretty consistent, too. They have given up at least 30 points in seven of their ten games, and at least 37 in five
