Bengals vs Ravens Recent History
Sunday night’s matchup marks the first meeting of the season between these divisional rivals. The Bengals swept the season series in 2021, outscoring Baltimore by a wide overall margin of 82-39 while snapping a five-game straight up losing streak in head-to-head action.

Each of the past five clashes between these teams have been settled by wide double-digit margins. Home teams have also struggled of late, scoring 17 or fewer points in three of the past five head-to-head tilts.

Cincinnati has earned the win in three of its past four primetime clashes with the Ravens, capped by a 34-23 win in a Thursday Night Football matchup in September 2018. However, each of those primetime wins came on home turf, while their two all-time losses to the Ravens under the lights both came in Baltimore.
Cincinnati Bengals Betting Outlook
The Bengals have shown signs of turning around a misfiring offense while tallying back-to-back wins. The sloppy play of the Bengals’ offensive line, which emerged as a massive problem throughout last season, was once again a major problem early on, with quarterback Joe Burrow getting sacked 13 total times in the team’s season-opening losses.

However, with the O-Line finally playing closer to expectations after an offseason overhaul, Burrow rediscovered his touch over the past two weeks, tossing for five total touchdowns while leading the Bengals to decisive victories over the New York Jets and Miami.
Where the #bengals defense sits in the NFL after Week 4:
-4th least rushing yards allowed
-LEAST rushing TDs allowed
-4th lowest number of rushing first downs allowed-2nd least passing TDs allowed
-3rd lowest completion percentage allowed-2nd least amount of time on field

Heartened by fast starts that the offense failed to produce in Pittsburgh and Dallas, the Bengals’ defense has responded in the past two weeks. Cincinnati forced turnovers in four of New York’s five second-half possessions in a 27-12 road win two weeks ago.
The Bengals also seized on the disarray caused by Miami quarterback Tua Tagovailoa’s horrific injury last weekend, denying the Dolphins first downs on three of their first four second-half possessions, and forcing turnovers on their final two possessions of the game.
Baltimore Ravens Betting Outlook
After compiling an early 20-3 lead last week, the Ravens seemed powerless as the Bills rebounded with 20 unanswered points.
Indeed, the Ravens attack quickly went MIA after a fast start, picking up just one first down on their four subsequent possessions, and saw their fate sealed when Lamar Jackson tossed picks on their final two possessions of the game.

Indeed, this team’s struggles to contain opposing offenses has resulted in over 20 points per game being allowed over their past three contests. The Ravens’ defense now ranks 30th after four weeks in total yards surrendered, and dead last against the pass while surrendering an average of 315.3 yards.

Lamar Jackson has sorely missed running back JK Dobbins, who has been limited to just two appearances due to injury, and whose status is uncertain for Sunday. While Jackson has filled the void by averaging almost 100 rushing yards over the past three weeks, he faces a huge challenge against a Bengals rush defense that has allowed just one scoring run this season.
Bengals vs Ravens Prediction
With the Ravens facing increased pressure in the face of a lengthening home slide and continued injury woes, they must avoid a slow start against Burrow and a steadily improving Bengals attack that had their number last season.
