With the downfield passing chops of Lamar Jackson, the Ravens moneyline of -149 looks like the play. Meanwhile, the under has hit in both New England Patriots games so far this season. Take a peek at our matchup page, as right now 72% of against-the-spread bets have come in on the Baltimore Ravens.

Baltimore Ravens Betting Trends

Baltimore enters this one 1-1 after dropping a thriller to Miami last weekend. The Ravens led by 21 points multiple times throughout the game and failed to come away with a victory. John Harbaugh will hope to turn around his defense after they were put to the sword by an explosive Miami Dolphins team.

Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson has two games in his career with 300 yards passing and 100 yards rushing. Every other quarterback in NFL history has three such games put together. Jackson did everything he could to help his team win the football game. The man playing on the franchise tag was terrific, completing 21 passes for 318 yards and three touchdowns. The elusiveness of Jackson shone through on his 79-yard touchdown run, making multiple defenders miss as only he can.

Miami’s “0” blitz gave the Ravens all types of issues in their matchup last season. However, Baltimore was far more prepared last week as Jackson completed 12 of 14 passes for 206 yards and two touchdowns against the blitz. After the Dolphins were able to come back and win last week, Jackson will be motivated to lay waste to a vulnerable New England Patriots secondary on Sunday. The Ravens are 4-0 in their last four games following an against-the-spread loss.

New England Patriots Betting Trends

The Patriots come into this one after beating the Pittsburgh Steelers 17-14 last Sunday. Quarterback Mac Jones led the offense to 376 total yards, but his unit has struggled to put up points so far this season. The Patriots have just 14 total points through two games and have looked suspect.

Jones has thrown for 465 yards through two weeks, with two touchdowns and two interceptions. His weapons have looked mediocre, and outside of one big touchdown play to Nelson Agholor last week, this offense has been rather pedestrian.

Contrarily, Bill Belichick’s defense has been a top-five unit in yards per play and points through two games. He’s the greatest football mind in the history of the NFL. “Darth Hoody” will understand that he needs to turn this one into a mudslinging, grind-it-out, slow-paced battle for his team to have any chance of winning. The Pats will look to slow down the pace and keep this explosive Ravens offense in check. New England is 0-3-1 in their last four games against AFC opposition.

Baltimore Ravens vs New England Patriots Pick

Baltimore heads to New England with a laundry list of injuries. Stalwart left tackle Ronnie Stanley has yet to play this season, and top two running backs J.K. Dobbins and Gus Edwards remain out. Unfortunately for the Patriots, Lamar Jackson will be on the field on Sunday. So far this campaign, that’s good enough to keep the Ravens in every single football game.

Make no mistake, the Baltimore Ravens are a banged-up football team. Yet, with Lamar Jackson at the helm, none of that matters. Take the Ravens to win on Sunday.

Pick: Baltimore Ravens Moneyline -149, 1 unit

2022 Record: 0-3, -4 units
