Pick #1: Xavier Worthy Over 69.5 Receiving Yards
The first pick we are offering in the Texas vs Washington props is the “over” on the receiving yards total for Texas wide receiver Xavier Worthy. DraftKings is offering this number at 69.5, which is five yards less than his season average (74.5).
Worthy is the top receiving target for quarterback Quinn Ewers, catching six passes for 84 yards in the Big 12 Championship against Oklahoma State. In last year’s Alamo Bowl vs Washington, Worthy had seven receptions for 86 yards (14.3 ypc).

While Worthy’s stats in last year’s Alamo Bowl might look decent on the surface, it’s important to note that Worthy had two key dropped passes in that game that have been eating at him. He’s hungry and determined to rebound with a big performance in Monday’s rematch.
The Longhorns know they need to take advantage of a vulnerable Washington secondary that is allowing 263 pass yards per game (bottom-five in the Pac-12). Although the Huskies haven’t lost a game yet, they’ve been exploited through the air by talented QBs such as Bo Nix and Caleb Williams.
We expect Worthy to be relied on heavily in the Sugar Bowl, especially with Texas star running back Jonathan Brooks sidelined by injury. Worthy has been targeted at least 10 times in seven games this season, and his ability to adjust to off-target throws has us confident he’ll be a difference maker Monday.
- Pick: Xavier Worthy Over 69.5 Receiving Yards (-115)
Pick #2: Dillon Johnson Over 72.5 Rushing Yards
Another bet we are targeting in the Texas vs Washington player props is the rushing yards total for Washington running back Dillon Johnson. The junior has emerged as Washington’s top running back down the stretch, going beast mode with 683 total yards over his last five outings.
FanDuel is offering Johnson’s rushing yards total for the Sugar Bowl at 72.5 yards, which would be his lowest single-game yardage output since October if the prediction comes to fruition. We aren’t betting against the 6′ 0″, 218 lbs Johnson, who has met every challenge he’s faced this season.

Johnson will take on Texas’ elite rush defense, which is allowing only 80.8 yards per game, but we think he’ll get his yards. Johnson has played five games against top-20 teams this season, and he’s averaged 107.2 yards over those contests.
Many will look at how well the Longhorns bottled up Oklahoma State’s Ollie Gordon in the Big 12 Championship as a reason to fade Johnson in the Sugar Bowl. Gordon was banged up, however, and this physical Washington offensive line does a much better job in run blocking.
- Pick: Dillon Johnson Over 72.5 Rushing Yards (-115)

In the Texas vs Washington touchdown scorer props, Huskies RB Dillon Johnson has the best odds to find the endzone at -160 odds, which is a 61.5% implied probability.

Pick #3: Ja’Tavion Sanders Anytime TD
In terms of the Texas vs Washington touchdown scorer props, we like the value on Texas tight end Ja’Tavion Sanders to find paydirt Monday. The junior had a big game against the Cowboys (105 yards, 1 TD) and will be a matchup nightmare for Washington’s secondary.

Washington has struggled against tight ends this season, including in the Pac-12 Championship when they gave up two touchdowns to Oregon TE Terrance Ferguson. Look for Ewers to find the 6′ 4″, 243 lbs Sanders in the endzone Monday as Texas exploits a key matchup advantage.
- Pick: Ja’Tavion Sanders Anytime TD (+155)
