Coming off a heartbreaking loss in the quarterfinals of the NBA Cup, the Golden State Warriors (14-10, 7-6 away, 15-9 ATS) return to the court on Sunday night as they host the Dallas Mavericks (16-9, 8-3 home, 14-10-1 ATS) at the Chase Center at 5:40 pm PT/8:40 pm ET. With both Steph Curry and Andrew Wiggins questionable for Golden State on Sunday night, the Mavericks are 2.5 to 3.5-point road favorites in Sunday’s NBA odds.

Sunday will mark longtime Warrior Klay Thompson’s second game in the Bay Area against his former team. The first ended in a 120-117 Golden State victory, though Thompson tied his season high with 22 points in an emotional game for almost everyone in the building.

Steph Curry had his best game of the season, dropping 37 points with nine assists, six rebounds, two blocks, and a steal.

The injuries on the Golden State side are certainly a concern, but you’re getting good value on the Warriors at +125. Depth has been the strength of this team all season – unlike in years past – and the Dubs are already 4-1 without their superstar this year. That includes a pair of wins over Houston and New Orleans, with the only setback being a four-point loss to the West-leading OKC Thunder.

I don’t have a lot of negative things to say against Dallas. They are consolidating their status as one of the favorites to come out of the West (for a second straight year). But Golden State has been an excellent home team for the past decade, and it’s not often you’ll get to bet the Warriors at home at plus-money in a game that Curry will likely suit up for.

With Curry’s status unknown, Steph is the only Golden State player who is currently on the board in the Mavericks vs Warriors player props. Steph is listed with an over/under point total of 25.5 along with a rebound total of 4.5 and an assist total of 6.5.

Dallas’ Luka Doncic has the highest point, rebound, and assist total of the night at 28.5, 8.5, and 8.5, respectively.

Best Mavericks vs Warriors Odds

Golden State Warriors +3.5 (-115) at BetMGM +125 at BetMGM Under 227.5 (-110) at FanDuel

With so much roster uncertainty, there is a decent range in Sunday’s Mavericks vs Warriors odds. The spread is as high as Golden State+3.5 (-115) at BetMGM and as low as Dallas -2.5 (-115) at ESPN Bet.

The best Dallas moneyline is currently -140 at Caesars, while a few sites have Golden State at +125, including BetMGM, bet365, and ESPN Bet.

There is also a one-point range in tonight’s game total. Over bettors can get 226.5 (-110) at bet365, while under bettors should take 227.5 (-110) at FanDuel.

The NBA public betting splits are fairly evenly divided on this game. Golden State is getting 61% of moneyline handle but the Mavericks are receiving 53% of ATS handle as of 4 pm ET. The public has a strong lean to the under, putting 74% of game-total handle on the under so far.
