The big question heading into the 2021 NBA Finals is whether or not Giannis Antetokounmpo will suit up for the Milwaukee Bucks. Antetokounmpo went down with a hyperextended knee in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Atlanta Hawks and hasn’t played since.
Regardless, Milwaukee will be invading the Phoenix Suns Arena Tuesday night for Game 1 of the NBA Finals. Tip off is scheduled for 9:00pm ET on ABC.
Milwaukee responded by winning both games they’ve played so far with Antetokounmpo on the shelf, but beating the Suns could prove to be more of a challenge. Phoenix has looked dominant at times during the playoffs – but they took six games to dispose of the Kawhi Leonard-less Clippers to reach the Finals. Right now they are -195 favorites in the NBA Championship odds.

Cam From the Suns’ Bench
When I say Cam from the Suns’ bench, most of you will think I am talking about Cameron Payne. While he is nice and his point total tonight looks to be a little low, I’m not talking about him. The Cam I’m talking about is Cameron Johnson. You know, the one Coby White was so happy for a few years back.
Everyone remembers the reaction. But do you remember who it was for?
Former @UNC_Basketball teammate @CobyWhite always knew Cameron Johnson’s potential!

Johnson doesn’t get the playing time he needs to be a big time scorer but I think that works in our favor tonight. He’s an under-the-radar guy that lit it up in the bubble last year for the Suns. He’s the purest of pure shooters and he has been an underrated part of the Suns rotation during this playoff run.
The NBA Twitter streets see Johnson as a three-point specialist but he is so much more than that. Make no mistake, Johnson will fill it up from beyond the arc. It’s just that he can get buckets from anywhere on the floor and isn’t afraid to take it to the rack when needed.

I expect Johnson to play minutes in the 20s tonight and take between 5-7 shots. He took at least five shots in four of the five games he played against the Clippers and scored in double digits in each of those games. Given the faster than normal pace we can expect for Game 1 given the Antetokounmpo injury, it makes sense for Johnson to get the same volume tonight. If he does, he should score at least eight points.
- The Pick: Johnson Over 7.5 Points (+134) *Alt line
Jrue is True
Somebody has to step up for the Bucks with Antetokounmpo ailing and that someone should be Jrue Holiday. His volume was up in each of the two Eastern Conference Finals’ games that Antetokounmpo was out and it only makes sense for that trend to continue. With a guy as filthy as Holiday, volume should lead to production.
Jrue Holiday is ridiculous 😳

In the last two full games Antetokounmpo has missed, Holiday took at least 20 shots in both contests. He makes the most of his volume as in each of the last three games where Holiday hit the 20+ shot mark, he scored at least 25 points. At +124, he looks like a safe bet to score at least 25 points again tonight.
- The Pick: Holiday Over 24.5 Points (+124) *alt line
