Tipping off at 10:10pm ET, two of the league’s most electric guards duel in Sacramento as Ja Morant faces De’Aaron Fox. Also in north California with the same start time, Steph Curry and the Warriors welcome the 2-3 Miami Heat.

The players with the highest over/unders for the night are Luka Doncic (31.5 points), Domantas Sabonis (10.5 rebounds), and Doncic and Ja Morant (7.5 assists).
Pick #1: Ja Morant Over 37.5 Points & Assists
Off to a 3-1 start and facing a Sacramento team which has slipped to 0-3, the Memphis Grizzlies are four-point favorites for their game at Golden 1 Center on Thursday night. As ever, Ja Morant has been the engine behind Memphis’ strong start, with a string of blockbuster performances and viral highlights to match.
Ja Morant this season:
49 Points, 8 Assists, 4 Rebounds
34 Points, 9 Assists, 4 Rebounds
20 Points, 4 Assists, 1 Rebound
38 Points, 7 Assists, 8 Rebounds pic.twitter.com/0xkl7au83Q— Hoop Central (@TheHoopCentral) October 25, 2022
Morant has the second-highest true shooting among guards (behind his teammate John Konchar). Only NBA MVP odds favorites Luka Doncic and Giannis Antetokounmpo have a higher usage rate. Averaging over 35 points and seven assists per game, this total is clearly on the low side. He has blistered past this number in three of four games, including a 38 and seven performance against the Brooklyn Nets last time out.
Sacramento’s defense has been as poor as advertised. No team has an answer to Morant, but the Kings’ limited perimeter options and poor rim protection make them vulnerable to another explosive performance from the Grizzlies’ star.

This game should be played at a good pace with Morant and De’Aaron Fox pushing the ball at every opportunity. Morant probably won’t need the extra possessions to hit this over, but it’s a nice insurance policy.
Pick: Ja Morant over 37.5 points and assists (-122)
Pick #2: Steph Curry to Score 25+ Points & Make 3+ Threes
Despite starting the season at just 2-2, the Golden State Warriors are seven-point favorites over the Miami Heat on Thursday night. The Dubs lost a fiery game to the Phoenix Suns last time out, while the Heat blew out the Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday. With Miami on the second night of a back-to-back, fatigue is a factor here, and they could rest some of their veterans.
Doris Burke went in on Draymond Green about the Jordan Poole incident. She capped it off with:
"I hear so often guys talk about I gotta lead my team, I gotta lead lead lead. I don't ever hear Steph talking about it. All I ever see is Steph Curry do it."

The motion offense of the Warriors is the last thing a team wants to face when their legs are heavy. Golden State is flying all over the court, with the highest pace in the league, and Steph Curry has been at his brilliant best as both a scorer and off-ball threat. Curry posted points totals of 33, 34 and 33 before scoring just 21 against the Suns. He has had at least four threes in every game.
Miami’s defense has been poor on the perimeter to start the campaign. Only four teams give up more outside shots. They are in the bottom 10 in opponent three-point percentage, too.

With a rest advantage and returning to Chase Center, this is a game the Warriors should take comfortably. Curry can put on another show.
Pick: Steph Curry to score 25+ points and make 3+ threes (-128)
