We have some afternoon basketball North of the border on Sunday afternoon as the lowly Detroit Pistons (15-42, 7-21 away) clash with the Toronto Raptors (26-31, 16-13 home) at Scotiabank Arena. The tip-off is scheduled for 3 pm ET between the Eastern Conference counterparts. Find the Pistons vs Raptors odds below.
Toronto is 6-4 in their last 10 games but did lose on Friday to the Utah Jazz at home. Detroit on the other hand put up 138 points in a victory over the San Antonio Spurs in a battle between two of the worst teams in the Association.
Pistons vs Raptors Odds

The Raps are laying 9.5 points for Sunday’s affair but have gone just 14-18-1 as an ATS favorite. The Pistons come in at +350Â odds, while Toronto sits at -435.

Detroit has actually dominated the Raptors in recent memory, winning six in a row before November’s defeat. That visitor moneyline could offer serious value for a small wager.
Detroit Coming in With Momentum
The Pistons don’t have winning records in past years against many teams, but Toronto is one of them. That’s why their win against San Antonio came at the perfect time before heading to Canada.
Following a productive trade deadline that landed them big man James Wiseman (who should stay put unless the Gary Payton II deal falls through), the Detroit offense came out on fire with the Spurs in town.
It took double overtime, but there were several positives. Bojan Bogdanovic erupted for 32 points to lead the charge, while center Jalen Duren dropped 30 and pulled down 17 rebounds. He was a big reason the Pistons were such a dominant force on the boards.
Jalen Duren scored a career-high 30 points with 17 rebounds in tonight's win over San Antonio. At 19 years, 84 days old, he is the youngest player to record a 30-17 game in NBA history.

However, Dwane Casey’s squad shot a measly 19% from deep and has posted a dismal 3-7 record in their previous 10 outings. Their success versus Toronto is a good sign, though. Detroit will roll in with no shortage of belief another win may be in the cards.
Can Toronto Turn it Around?
Everyone expected the Raptors to be sellers at the trade deadline. But, they ultimately stood pat and kept their core together until the summer at the very least. That raises the question, can Toronto actually make a run at a playoff spot now? They’re currently in 11th place and just a half-game out of the final play-in spot.
Plus, Nick Nurse’s group sits only five games back of the Heat in sixth. The East is wide open. The front office did manage to reunite with big man Jakob Poeltl too, giving the front court a proven player at the five. His arrival should make a big difference.

With that being said, the Raps are coming off an ugly loss, blowing a 12-point lead with five minutes left in the fourth. Utah outscored them 39-20 in the final period as the defense completely took their foot off the gas. Pascal Siakam compiled 35 points, while Gary Trent Jr contributed 19.
Pistons vs Raptors Prediction
It’s not too often I’d take Detroit to cover, but this is an exception. You simply cannot ignore their track record against Toronto and even November’s defeat was by just four points. Lock in the Pistons ATS.
Pick: Pistons +9.5 (-110)
