  • The Suns visit the Warriors in a Saturday night Western Conference clash
  • Golden State is a 6.5-point home favorite in the latest Suns vs Warriors odds
  • Read on for Suns vs Warriors predictions, picks, odds and injury updates for Saturday

The Phoenix Suns will look to bounce back from a tough loss when they take on the Golden State Warriors at Chase Center on Saturday night. Tipoff is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. ET on NBA TV.

Golden State returns home after losing 102-92 to the Los Angeles Clippers on Friday night without Stephen Curry (rest). The Warriors have now dropped three straight games to fall to 15-15 on the season.

The latest Suns vs Warriors odds show Golden State as 6.5-point home favorites, with a total of 219.5 points. Can the Warriors get back on track and cover the spread against a Suns team also looking to rebound?

Let’s break down my Suns vs Warriors picks and predictions for Saturday, December 28.

Suns vs Warriors Prediction

The Suns are coming off a tough 98-89 home loss to the Dallas Mavericks on Friday night. Kevin Durant led the way with 35 points, but got little help from his supporting cast. Phoenix has now lost seven of its last ten games to drop to 15-15, tied with Golden State for 10th in the West.

Phoenix continues to be without star guard Devin Booker, who has missed the last four games with a groin injury. His absence has put more scoring pressure on Durant and Bradley Beal. The Suns are just 1-9 in games Booker has missed this season.

The Warriors are dealing with key absences of their own, as Stephen Curry and Draymond Green are both questionable after resting in Friday’s loss. If they sit again, Golden State will need another big game from Jonathan Kuminga, who had 34 points and 10 rebounds against the Clippers.

The Suns have the edge in shooting, hitting 47.5% from the field and 40% from three over their last 10 games compared to 42.8% and 35% for the Warriors. However, Golden State takes better care of the ball, averaging just 13.9 turnovers to Phoenix’s 13.7.

Despite the Warriors’ recent skid, I slightly lean their way laying 6.5 points at home. They are 7-7 at Chase Center compared to Phoenix’s 5-8 road record. The Suns are also just 3-7 ATS in their last 10.

For the total, I’m on the over 219.5 points. Even without some stars, both teams have enough firepower to keep the scoreboard moving. The Suns are averaging 112 points over their last 10, while the Warriors put up 111.8 at home during that span. Bet on these offenses to outpace two middling defenses.

Suns vs Warriors Picks:

  • Lean: Warriors -6.5 (-115)
  • Play: OVER 219.5 (-110)

Suns vs Warriors Odds

Team Spread Moneyline Total
Suns +6.5 (-105) +220 O 219.5 (-110)
Warriors -6.5 (-115) -275 U 219.5 (-110)

The Suns enter this matchup as 6.5-point road underdogs at MGM Sportsbook. Phoenix backers can get the Suns at -105 odds to cover the spread, while Golden State sits at -115 to cover as home favorites.

On the moneyline, the Suns are +220 underdogs to win outright. A $100 bet on Phoenix returns $220 in profit if they pull the upset. The Warriors are -275 moneyline favorites, so it would take a $275 bet to win $100 on Golden State.

The total is set at 219.5 points, with the over and under both at -110 odds. That means it would take a $110 bet to win $100 on either side of the total.

Suns vs Warriors Injury Report

Team Player Status Injury
Suns Devin Booker OUT Groin
Suns Bol Bol GTD Knee
Suns Grayson Allen GTD Concussion
Warriors Stephen Curry GTD Knee
Warriors Draymond Green GTD Back
Warriors Gary Payton II OUT Calf

The Suns remain without leading scorer Devin Booker, who will miss his fifth straight game with a groin injury. Bol Bol (knee) and Grayson Allen (concussion) are both listed as questionable.

For the Warriors, Stephen Curry and Draymond Green are question marks after resting in Friday’s loss to the Clippers. Gary Payton II has already been ruled out with a calf injury.

The potential absences of stars on both sides adds some unpredictability to this matchup. Be sure to monitor the Suns and Warriors official injury reports leading up to tip-off for the latest updates.
