It has been far from pretty, but the Boston Celtics can wrap up their slugfest of a first-round series on Tuesday in Game 5 against the Orlando Magic. Back in Boston, the C’s are pegged as hefty 11.5-point favorites in Tuesday’s NBA odds.

Game 5 between the Magic vs Celtics tips off at 8:30pm ET from TD Garden in Boston, with NBA TV carrying the broadcast.

On the moneyline, Boston is a -620 home favorite with Orlando coming back at +460. The game total is sitting at exactly 200 points with -110 odds both ways, which is up one point from Game 4.

• Magic vs Celtics pick: Over 200 points (-110)

Boston showed the resilience of a champion in Game 4, breaking open a 91-91 tie in the fourth quarter with a game-sealing 10-1 run. They scored 16 of the game’s final 23 points to win 107-98.

It hasn’t been smooth sailing for the Celtics, who have had to fight for every bucket against one of the league’s best defenses. Their 103 points per game is a full 13 points down from what they did during the regular season, when they ranked eighth.

Perhaps most notable is their 3-point shooting, which has dipped to 34.8%, well below their Top 10 mark of 36.8% during the regular season.

Boston won’t be at full strength for this one, as guard Jrue Holiday (hamstring) has been ruled out for Game 5, while reigning Finals MVP Jaylen Brown (knee) is listed as questionable.

Conversely, if Boston is battling for buckets, the Magic have been living in a scoring drought in Round 1, putting up a rough 94.8 points per game, by far the worst scoring total in the playoffs so far this season.

Despite their struggles, Orlando has been able to keep it close throughout. Save for a Game 1 blowout, the largest margin of victory has been 11 points, with all three games a toss up for who takes it down the stretch.

Just another offensive spark could help the Magic keep this series alive. Forward Franz Wagner has scored at least 23 points in every game and ditto Paolo Banchero, who’s upped it to 31 or better in three of four games.

In their last stand, Wagner and Paolo are going to push the Magic as far as they can take them. I don’t know if it’s a cover, but the Over has hit in two of the last three games, and that 200 total in a closeout game looks enticing.

This team belongs to Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, but Derrick White might quietly be the most binding player on the roster, for his ability to do so much in a secondary role.

For this prop, we’ll target scoring, where the books have given him a very reachable 15.5 scoring line. It’s a figure he’s crossed in every game this series.

White is shooting a crisp 52.6% from the field and 38.9% from 3-point range and with Jrue Holiday sitting this one out, should get a few more looks than his usual 14.3 field goal attempts per game in this series.
