No Stopping Steph
The Cleveland Cavaliers started the season as one of the best defensive teams, but have since come crashing back to earth. They’re 28th in defensive rating over the last 10 games, and Larry Nance Jr’s injury has hurt them. Steph Curry is not much fun to play against at any point, but even less so when you’re struggling defensively.
Steph Curry is the best player in the NBA. Thats it.

Curry’s doing some outrageous stuff this season. He scored 27 on 10-for-17 from the field in his last game and it felt like a quiet night. The two-time MVP has scored 32 or more in five of his last seven, contributing to the 30.5 points line for Monday’s game. Against the slow-playing Cavs (26th in pace), there might be concern about Curry getting enough shots up. That’s not a major worry for this bet, though.
Curry is second to only Bradley Beal in field goal attempts per 36. He’s getting to the line the second-most often in his career. Again, only Beal is scoring more than Curry’s 29.9 points per game. Curry is scoring 36.3 points per contest in February. Combine all of this with the Cavs’ recent defensive performances, and the 30.5 line seems low.
it's a compliment to the longevity of his greatness, but at this point when i see Steph Curry has 10 threes in a game my first reaction is: "…and?"

Opponents are shooting 41.6% from three against Cleveland over their last 10. Curry is making almost 48% of his shots from beyond the arc this month; having made 10 threes against Orlando two games ago, the Warriors superstar could be on for a similar performance on Monday.
Pick: Stephen Curry over 30.5 points (-114)
Kyrie Gets His
Brooklyn and Sacramento are going to be flying up and down the court. While the Kings’ defense has improved of late, they still rank just 20th over their last 10 games. Brooklyn is 27th in that category. They are two of the quicker teams in the league, too, ranking eighth and 11th in pace over that period. There are going to be plenty of opportunities to score, and it would be no surprise to see both teams finish in the 130s.

There’s also no Kevin Durant, and this works in favor of Irving. The former Celtic has scored 35 and 27 (on 28 shots) in his last two games without Durant. There was a blowout of the Thunder just before that, too, where Irving put up 25 in 33 minutes. He might be letting Harden run the offense, but Irving is still getting his fair share of shots. He leads the team in field goal attempts, and has got up 19 or more shots in nine of his 19 appearances.
If Sacramento stays in this game, Irving is going to get up 20+ shot attempts. He’ll run the offense in the few minutes Harden rests. When Harden’s on the court, Irving can be an off-ball threat attacking one of the Kings’ weaker defenders.
Kyrie on Draymond. Tough.

Irving might have only scored 29 or more in seven of 19 games, but don’t let that put you off. Backing his points over is still a great bet in this matchup.
Pick: Kyrie Irving over 28.5 points (-106)
