The NBA slate only consists of one game tonight but it’s a great one. The suddenly depleted Brooklyn Nets will try to regain control of their series with the Milwaukee Bucks in Game 5 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
The Nets had a commanding 2-0 lead when the series headed to Milwaukee but the Bucks held down their home court knotting the series at two apiece. Kyrie Irving has joined James Harden on the Nets’ sidelines with a sprained ankle and suddenly the Bucks appear to have the upper hand heading to Brooklyn.
TNT will be carrying this game and FanDuel has us covered with player props. Check out the table below to see the lines on the players taking the floor tonight. Scroll down to see two of the better bets on the board.

Kevin Durant Legacy Time
Legacy talk is all the rage in the sports talk world, but rarely does it truly connect with the sports betting world. It’s still fun to talk about and tonight it does have some sort of connection to the betting community. Kevin Durant’s legacy has been “on the line” since his decision to join the Golden State Warriors.
Tonight, without Kyrie Irving and James Harden, the perception will be that Durant has a chance to do it “on his own” for the first time in his career. That’s at least the perception from many in sports media.
Bucks did what they were supposed to do today…but that being said with Kyrie and Harden being injured and not knowing their availability for Game 5 the stage is set for Kevin Durant to show his GREATNESS! Carry on…

Kevin Durant is an amazing player and one of the best scorers in the world. The thing is, even with Harden and Irving out, how many more shots will he take tonight than he already has in this series? In the first four games, Durant has taken at least 25 shots in three of the games. He has yet to score more than 32 points in any game and PJ Tucker is a big reason why.

Kevin Durant could go off for 50 tonight because he’s that good. He could also hover around 30 points on 25 shots just like he has every other game in this series. It would be wise of the Bucks to sell out on Durant and force someone else to carry the load offensively. For that reason, I think Durant’s points prop under is a good move.
FanDuel offers alt lines and they are pure magic tonight. Namely, the under 33.5 points for +152 but there are some great options for the more risk averse bettors. For example, under 30.5 is sitting at +290 right now. For my money, if I’m betting a Kevin Durant point prop under, I want a chunky plus money price given that he can burn you easily. I think we are getting a good deal tonight.
- The Pick: Durant UNDER 33.5 Points (+152) * Alt Line
Mike James Stepping Up
With no Kyrie Irving tonight, the Brooklyn Nets will be forced to find another option at point guard. Luckily for them, they have a guy like Mike James that has been waiting in the wings. He wasn’t even in the league at the beginning of April, but now he will be asked to do some heavy lifting tonight.
Make no mistake, he is more than up for the challenge.

There is not a ton of data on James and as a result, the books are in a tough spot to create a line. Once again, I am using FanDuel’s alt line on his assists. This is basically a hedge on my Durant bet. If he is stroking threes, they are likely to have been assisted. When given opportunity, James has had spike games in the assist column even though there hasn’t been many chances without Harden or Irving available. I think he drops at least six dimes tonight.
- The Pick: James Over 5.5 Assists (+174) * Alt Line
