Team LeBron will face off with Team Durant in the 70th NBA All-Star Game at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia (8pm ET).
This will be the fourth year of the new All-Star game format in which two captains pick their rosters. The captains this year were LeBron James or the Los Angeles Lakers and Kevin Durant of the Brooklyn Nets.
The game will look a little different from the average NBA game as this one will feature the Elam ending. The teams will play three standard 12-minute quarters and one untimed fourth quarter with a target score. The target score will be determined by adding 24 to the leading team’s total after three quarters. The number 24 was agreed upon in 2020 to honor the late Kobe Bryant.
Bettors can get into the action by wagering on the side or total as they normally would in an NBA game but if that’s not enough, there are plenty of player props to keep them entertained.

Lillard Will Show Out
One of the more eye-raising snubs from the starting lineups was the Portland Trail Blazers’ Damian Lillard. It’s always tough to call out a snub in an all-star setting, since the player starting over them is likely to be a superstar. In this case, that player was Luka Doncic, but that hasn’t slowed the snub narrative.

The NBA All-Star game is a perfect environment for a scorer like Lillard to take out some aggression. There is generally little defense being played and even if there was, it likely wouldn’t matter. In his last all-star game, Lillard came off the bench and still managed to take 17 shots. In the one before that, he ended up taking 14 shots in only 20 minutes. Look for more of the same tonight.
The Pick – Damian Lillard Over 15.5 Points (-114)

Here Comes Zion
Zion Williamson is one of the most electric players in the NBA today. He’s currently averaging 25.6 points per game on a career-high 61.4% shooting from the field. More than just a dunker, he has been one of the primary ball handlers for the Pelicans, bringing the ball up the floor an average of 11 times per game.

If he does that even five times in the all-star game, it will go a long way in him covering his points total. He leads the NBA in 2-point field-goals on the season with 329 because he’s 280 pounds and can move. If there is any opportunity for a show-stopping dunk in this game, Zion will take it. More importantly, everyone on the floor will make the correct business decision and get out of the way.
The Pick – Zion Williamson Over 13.5 Points (-118)
