The most anticipated game of Sunday’s lineup in the NBA features the (42-20) Portland Trail Blazers visiting the (43-19) Houston Rockets, at the Toyota Center at 7 PM ET.
The Blazers are coming off a 103-98 loss at Dallas against the Mavericks where they had to overcome a 30 point deficit since the first quarter, but fell short at the end despite the 30 points from LaMarcus Aldridge.
“(It’s frustrating) being right there and not taking care of business down the stretch,” Aldridge said. “Fighting all the way back and being up and having an opportunity to win and not taking care of business.”
The Rockets, on the other hand, enter this game after arguably their best win of the season 112-86 over the Indiana Pacers on Friday. James Harden had 28 points, and Dwight Howard added 15 points and 8 rebounds.
“I believe that if our defense is great for the rest of the season we have a great opportunity to do something special,” Dwight Howard said. “We’ve got to learn from tonight’s game and how we played on the defensive end and try to do that every night.”
The Rockets are 3.5 point favorites over the Blazers in the NBA odds for Sunday. Portland is 1-4 SU in its last 5 games when playing Houston, and 1-4-1 ATS in its last 6 games.
Also, the total has gone OVER in 6 of Portland’s last 7 games when playing on the road against Houston.
