With the 2014 NRL Premiership season and Grand Final in the rearview mirror, it’s time to look ahead to 2015.
Who will be the Premiers in 2015? We don’t know for sure (that’s why they play the game) but we do have the very early odds for all 16 teams to host the Provan-Summons trophy.
Unsurprisingly, the best teams from last year find themselves at the top of the 2015 odds.
The defending Premiers, the South Sydney Rabbitohs, are the current favorites at 5/1.
Last season’s Minor Premiers, the Sydney Roosters, are hot on their heels at 6/1.
Rounding out the top three are the Canterbury Bulldogs. The runners-up in the 2014 Grand Final stand at 8/1.
In 2014, the Canberra Raiders missed the series finals for the second consecutive year. (The first time Canberra has done so in almost 30 years.) The forecast for 2015 is equally grim; the Raiders sit last in the odds at 80/1.
The full list is below:
- South Sydney Rabbitohs – 5/1
- Sydney Roosters – 6/1
- Canterbury Bulldogs – 8/1
- Brisbane Broncos – 9/1
- Melbourne Storm – 10/1
- North Queensland Cowboys – 10/1
- Penrith Panthers – 10/1
- Manley Sea Eagles – 12/1
- New Zealand Warriors – 15/1
- Wests Tigers – 20/1
- Newcastle Knights – 25/1
- Parramatta Eels – 25/1
- St. George Illawarra Dragons – 25/1
- Cronulla Sharks – 40/1
- Gold Coast Titans – 50/1
- Canberra Raiders – 80/1
