The Atlanta Falcons look to bounce back after two consecutive losses when they face their third AFC East opponents in three weeks, the New York Jets, this Monday at 8:30 PM ET at Georgia Dome.

While the New Orleans Saints are 5-0 in the NFC South, the Falcons are 1-3 and need this win or it will be time to panic if they don’t get it.

“You just don’t panic,” said WR Roddy White. “You are what you earn in this league, so we’re 1-3. You just go out there and correct the problems that you have and get ready for the next game. We know at 1/3 that we can’t get back to .500 after one game.”

The Falcons lost to the Patriots last week because they missed too many opportunities in the Red Zone; that has been their issue this year.

“It’s killing us right now,” White added. “It’s something that we continue to work at, but we’ve got to do a little more and win some one-on-one battles, especially when it’s time for one person to make the play when it’s presented.”

The Jets are 2-2 but looked terrible in the 38-13 loss against the Titans last week.  Geno Smith has 11 turnovers in the season with eight interceptions and three lost fumbles.

“It’s just taking ownership to your mistakes and manning up,” Smith said. “A lot falls on my shoulders as far as taking care of the ball, but that’s something I have to do. No one wants to make those mistakes. It’s something that has to stop now in order for us to progress and to get better as an offense and as a team.”

The Falcons are 9.5 favorites for Monday Night. The trends say Atlanta is 4-1 SU in their last 5 games when playing NY Jets, but 1-4 ATS in its last 5 games at home.
