UFC Fight Night Vettori vs Dolidze 2 Prediction

Middleweights Marvin Vettori and Roman Dolidze meet for a second time at UFC Fight Night on Saturday night. Vettori took home a hard-fought, unanimous decision victory in their first matchup and will aim to repeat that result. With both men climbing the middleweight rankings, this rematch could have far-reaching divisional implications.

Vettori remains one of the most durable and well-conditioned fighters on the UFC roster. The “Italian Dream” has never been finished in his MMA career, and two of his five UFC losses have been at the hands of long-time division kingpin Israel Adesanya.

Vettori’s high volume striking and strong chin have made him a mainstay at middleweight. The former Vennator champ has an innate ability to absorb large amounts of punishment, while pushing forward. Vettori aims to use another victory over Dolidze to propel himself back into title contention.

Meanwhile, Dolidze is a class powerhouse with a dangerous grappling game. The Georgian scrapper has won five of his last seven UFC contests, with four knockout victories. Dolidze’s explosiveness and willingness to go blow for blow with his opponents make him an exciting and unpredictable fighter. However, his cardio has long been an issue, which played a huge factor their first bout.

Vettori will aim to maintain a high output of strikes while stopping any takedown attempts and drag his opponent into a three-round war. Meanwhile, Dolidze will likely look to land a few big power shots and finish the fight. Dolidze has been vocal about making adjustments and getting revenge in this rematch. I like him to do just that as a slight underdog in the main event of UFC Fight Night.

Njokuani vs Dos Santos Prediction

The co-main event features what will likely be a striking showdown between Chidi Njokunani and Elizeu Zaleski Dos Santos. Thankfully for fight fans around the world, neither of these men like to leave proceedings in the judges’ hands.

Njokuani is a lean kickboxer with devastating knockout power. His precision striking, lethal knees and ability to dictate range make him a serious problem at the center of the Octagon. Things can end quickly when the Dallas native is able to find his rhythm in the cage. Although, Njokuani struggles when opponents pressure him and turn the fight into a grit and grind scrap.

That’s likely exactly what Dos Santos will look to do at UFC Fight Night: Vettori vs Dolidze 2. A veteran of 15 fights in the UFC’s welterweight division, the 38-year-old will be looking for a spectacular finish to catapult himself through the rankings. “Capoeira” boasts an impressive 11 UFC wins, with a highlight reel knockout of former middleweight champion Sean Strickland on his resume.

Njokuani will aim to keep his opponent at range, and work behind his jab and keg kicks. However, Dos Santos is likely to close the distance and make this co-main event showcase a brawl. Most fighters struggle to stay locked in while under constant pressure, with Dos Santos looking like the aggressor I like him to pull out the victory. Dos Santos has five career UFC finishes, and I believe he gets another on Saturday night.
