With a number of high-flying matchups on the card, UFC Night Night Moreno vs Erceg promises to entertain. Find all the odds and along with my predictions and props below.
UFC Fight Night: Moreno vs Erceg Predictions
Former flyweight champ Brandon Moreno takes on rising Aussie prospect Steve Erceg in the main event on Saturday night. Moreno bounced back from a two-loss streak against by taking home a unanimous decision victory over Amir Albazi in November and will be looking to bounce back into title contention with a victory. “The Assassin Baby” is one of the most well-rounded scrappers in the division. Moreno boasts crisp boxing, solid scrambling ability and granite chin will keep him in most bouts.
On the other side, dangerous up-and-comer Steve Erceg lost his title shot to Alexandre Pantoja last year. Most recently, Erceg was dropped and finished by Kai Kara-France in the first round of their August bout. At his best, Erceg is a heavy-handed wrestler with dangerous power for a flyweight, and a dominant clinch game.
While Erceg is an aggressive, well-rounded fighter, I think Moreno is the best bet in this UFC Fight Night main event. Moreno is a tested veteran with elite technical boxing skills. Look for the former champion to slip shots, and counter Erceg with a high volume of shots to take home the unanimous decision victory.
UFC Fight Night: Moreno vs Erceg Pick & Props: Brandon Moreno to win by decision (+110), Brandon Moreno over 105.5 total significant strikes (-115)
Torres vs Dober Predictions
Further down the card, lightweights Manuel Torres and Drew Dober do battle in the UFC Fight Night: Moreno vs Erceg co-main event.
You can bet any fight with Manuel Torres involved will be over quickly. A ferocious striker, Torres posted three consecutive knockouts before being finished himself in his last bout against Ignacio Bahamondes in September. Don’t blink or you might miss this fight entirely, as none of Torres’ four UFC fights have made it out of the first round.
Meanwhile, Drew Dober is one of the most exciting action fighters in UFC history. A veteran of 23 UFC bouts, Dober has dropped three of his last four bouts. The Denver native has been finished in two of those three contests, and has been finished in seven of his UFC outings.
Expect a firefight in the co-main event. Torres boasts lethal hands and thrives in all-out brawls, while Dober love to get in the center of the Octagon and mix it up. Look for Torres to avoid Dober’s pressure and capitalize on his tendency to become over aggressive early. Bet on Torres to finish this bout in the first round.
Torres vs Dober Pick & Props: Manuel Torres to win by knockout (+200), Manuel Torres to win by knockout in Round 1 (+300)
